"Per aspera ad astra"

But i don't wanna grave. I want to be cremated. My ashes should end either in Holy Ganga or in deep space. :)
FYI, it's Ad astra per aspera, not per aspera ad astra.

Both expressions are valid. Cogita ante salis my fellow Escapist. ;)
touché. And, what exactly does Cogita ante salis mean? I take latin but I don''t know those words and from past experiences, google translate doesn't know latin very well.

Free your body and soul
Unfold your powerful wings
Climb up the highest mountains
Kick your feet up in the air
You may now live forever
Or return to this earth
Unless you feel good where you are!

Well, Google Translator Non Gradus Anus Rodentum Est. ;)
Use Google instead of Google Translator. There are much better sites for Latin sayings and phrases. "Cogita ante salis" means roughly "think before leap". You may find also "cogita anteR salis".

But no offense please - i think it's great that people learn Lingua Latina ! :)

"I told you I was ill..."

or

"The Emperor protects.... but a flack jacket would have made the difference."

I'm something of a nerd I know. :D

I tried life and all I got was this stupid death.

Also: A big Slayer pentagram in the middle stained red/brown like blood.

'HA! They'll never know where I hid the money now!'

And then they find out where the money is.

And it's only $2.50. With a picture of a trollface.

That, or 'I found a quarter down in this hole. Then they threw a lot of dirt on top of me. HELP.'

While I have every intention to be cryogenically frozen, the plaque affixed to the meat popsicle will read something like "Back in 5 mins" or perhaps "I WAS FROZEN TODAY!"

Written very small, so you have to walk really up close: "Get off my chest, fatty!"

Dude, that's the most awesome gravestone quote I've ever heard! I wish the Escapist had a vote, or a favorite system, 'cause I would definitely "thumbs up" yours!

Tricky choice

If I wanted to try for a funny one I'd go for:

'I don't care how drunk you are! Piss on my grave and I'll drag you down to join me!' (Probably gonna lead to a very soggy grave)

'OI YOU! Avenge my death.'

Have an ivory cock and balls made up and placed a little infront of the gravestone, with a massive arrow on the gravestone pointing to them, and tiny writing at the tail-end of the arrow (so people had to come up close) saying 'Well, it won't suck itself...'

or 'I asked for marble. They got me concrete. Cheapskate fucking kids!'

If I wanted to be morbid I'd have:

'Think! Not long 'til you'll be here too!'

or ' got me before they found the cure. You know viruses can mutate, right?'

I may have put too much thought into this.

"Final words: This looks like a dangerous thing to do."

To be honest I made up a really brilliant and orginal epitaph the other day, but now I can't remember it. I guess it's lost for ever. :(

Did nothing of importance.

Didn't press X.

Only some of the things I can think of.

"I wanna be in a museum, stuffed and in a realistic position,
Like I'm hunting, calling someone, or buying something.
Way too busy to look up and see what was coming."

Or:

", Philosopher of history,
Now object of study by lesser minds.
And perpetually misunderstood."
