Currently, I am sat underneath the front door, waiting for the post. I've never felt so pathetic and helpless in my life. My future is being decided by a panel of 7 or so people, and I will receive a letter with their verdict this week, the earliest date for receiving a letter being today.
Perhaps that's a bit dramatic. A new veterinary science course will be starting with only 5 places, and as it's what I've always wanted to do (but discouraged from applying for as I don't come from a strong financial background or have the competitive edge to get a place). On monday I was one of only 12 out of 500 applicants interviewed, and I'm now awaiting their verdict. If I get the place, I move 200 miles for 6 years to finally live out my dream. If I don't, I'll go back to college and carry on grooming horses. A chance like this might never come about again, as next year funding for me stops, and it will cost me around £90,000 to study vet science.
So escapists, while I sit here and wait for the post, what do you want? Are you the sort of person who chases their goals, or simply carries on with how life is flowing?
