What do you wear to parties?

What do you wear to parties? Describe your typical "going to party" attire. I'm heading to one in a bit and wanted to see what fellow escapists wear to parties. Now, when i say party, i mean a party with your friends, could involve going clubbing or chilling in a house with a keg. I dont mean like cocktail parties where people get all deck out.

So, what is your typical party outfit?

Jeans / skirt and tight, plus usually a slightly party esque top (ie, not a tshirt, but not over the top either, like a crop top thing).

Well, since my wardrobe consists of only T-shirts and two jeans it kinda narrows down the choice.

Don't know, I don't go to parties. The only ones I ever have gone to are halloween parties, and what I wear to those are always different

A shirt that says "This shirt was created to distract you while I look at your chest," or something like that and jeans with a zip-up hoody.

Button up shirt (check or vertical stripes) with rolled sleeves, Levi's jeans, Etnies hi-tops trainers, and maybe a plain jumper if it's cold.

A couple rules for me...

Always two layers, t-shirt and a button up or polo. You never know when you might need to use one as a pillow. Coats are ok, but don't plan on being able to stash it safely.

Always covered shoes, usually boots, as they resist beer spillage and toe stomping in crowded areas.

I always wear a very casual (clothes like DKNY, Esprit, etc) button up dress shirt, jeans, and sneakers... If its cold, I might either wear a light zip-up sweather over the shirt or wear a sweather. Really depends. I guess I dress "dark preppy", if you want to attach a label to it.

Semi-formal stuff. and whenever possible. formal clothes. i love dressing up in a suit/tux for really fancy occasions.

I don't ever go to parties but I assume I would just wear what I would normally wear. Jeans, a T-Shirt, sweatshirt, and my hat.
