For those of you who know what I'm talking about. What do you think about how the Casey Anthony case ended.

Personally, I think that her aquittal was exactly what should have happened. There was no evidence that she killed her own child so she shouldn't be convicted of murder. That doesn't mean I don't think she may have had something to do with it, I just think that without the proof you can't convict her.

I don't give 2 ships honestly.

If she did it, and can live with it, good for her prickish soul.
If she didn't do it, (Which court says about it) good for her, she didn't kill her spawn.

I jury of her piers said they weren't convinced she did it.

I'm not privy to all the facts of the case, so I can't really say.

I feel that the jury's findings was really the only proper outcome for the situation. She may have been involved in her child's death, but the burden of proof is on the state, and I would never be able to bring myself to sentence a human being to death based only on the circumstantial evidence the prosecution's entire case was based on.

What upsets me the most about this is the people that blame the jurors. Anyone who is upset with the outcome of the trial should be upset at the investigators and prosecutors who jumped the gun and took a person to trial they had no solid evidence against.

I'm with Masta, How it went down is of no importance to me, if she did kill the kid then good, send 'er to jail or whatever, if she didn't go ahead and let her go.
I'm just hopeful - very much so - that maybe the media will finally stop covering stories on this stupid Caylee stuff. It's been 3+ years. MOVE ON.

I think it's fairly obvious that she killed the kid, but the prosecution SPECTACULARLY failed to do their job.

By the way, can we get rid of these "El Shadai" ads that make everything all laggy? It's making coherent typing very difficult. And I know it's the ads because when I scroll them into view, my scrolling gets laggy. If I scroll back up, the lag stops as soon as they leave the screen. Seriously, Escapist: You have consistently found the only ads on the internet that fuck with my computer. PLEASE STOP.

But...um....Anyway....

So say the magazines: SHE'S TEH MOST HATED WOMAN IN DA WORLD!!!1!11!1

No. no she's not. You want the most hated people, look at the FBI's most wanted list. I honestly don't care what she did or why she did it. All I do know is that, whether she did it or not, it's one small crime in a world full of them, and even it's severity is sadly lacking for the attention it's getting.

I hate sensationalism.

The evidence was inconclusive. Therefore, she deserved to walk. I think it's stupid and wrong that she didn't even report the death of her own child, but she's already served 3 years for that.

I think the court made the right decision in letting her go.

Moreover, the average homicide results in 5.9 years behind bars. Anthony spent roughly half that behind bars, and she was eventually acquitted anyway. Seems like a good deal to me.

I don't think it would've made national news if she wasn't generically attractive.

I know so many people who claim to have cried over the verdict and want to solve the problem by having Anthony killed. None of these people think that she could be anything but guilty and cite the cause of death as being proof enough.

But that doesn't make sense to me. If they couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she was the murderer then we can't punish her. It's the way the system works and it's not inherently flawed for that.

I don't care about the case or the verdict, but I care about people shouting that our legal system is a sham because someone they "believe" is guilty was let off.

Cool story bro.

And for the people complaining about the verdict (which there are a lot of on this site, judging from when the trial ended), you can't judge until you go back in time and put yourself on that jury.

Meh. The evidence was not sufficient. Those prosecutors just need to lick their wounds and move on. As Jordan Schafer once said, "Your ego will mend."

Didn't care when the trial was going on, definitely don't care now that it's over. Some people told me she did it, but how do they know. Read about the trial in newspapers, not some news network (especially that fucking Nancy Grace network that is STILL talking about it), and they all say the same thing, "not enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.

You know what I think? Let the fucking thing die already. The case is OVER she got her sentence no amount of arguing or consideration is gonna change it weather your for it or against it. This case isn't even that special, cases that are hundreds of times worse happen and get tried every day. The only reason this one got special attention is because one day CNN was bored and decided to pick something else from their "shit to report on when we're bored" pile.

Eh they screwed around during this trial, I think she might have gotten convicted on it if they had given more than just First Degree Murder, maybe a lesser charge like manslaughter.....eh but whats done is done and she is gonna be rich of this :S

As far as the trial goes..there wasn't the proper amount of evidence found to prove beyond any possible doubt she did what she was accused of and was thusly found innocent. The trial is over and done with and people should shut up about it.

From what I've heard, some lady got away with blatantly murdering her kid.

But I don't know much more than that, sooooo. Ya' know.
