What Does Everyone Think of Steam's Potato Sack?

The only game in the pack that I want, which I haven't already got is probably Amnesia. Consequently the pack is a bit of a rip off for me.

The only games in that pack that appealed to me on any level were ones I already owned. To be blunt I didn't think a whole lot of the "Potato Sack" because the savings seemed to be in line with their regular sales, and ultimatly it seemed to be getting people to pay to experience their advertising campaign.

ARGs can be cool, but I wasn't impressed by this one, and honestly I tend to prefer there to be a little more to them than just to promote a product.

At least this one DID include some rather interesting content though. Haven't gone back to try it again (if it's still patched into the game) but I think you could have extended "Justine" into it's own game. What's more I'll honestly say that I thought that was more interesting than the actual "Amnesia" game it was attached to.

Personally I'm keeping clear of any game that's part of the Potato Sack until it's ended due to all the godawful Portal garbage that's been shoehorned into them.

Pointless! I already own most of the games in the potato sack.

However any kind of deal is always nice, so i applaud Steam for putting this up there. There's still people buying Counter Strike, Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead, after all.

Killing floor and Amnesia are fantastic and worth getting anway. Meatboy is all right I guess. Don't really see the huge praise for that game to be honest, VVVVVV is doing the hard as balls 2D platforming thing ten times better.

Dunno about the others.

I already own Killing Floor, Amnesia, Defence Grid and Super Meat Boy from the Winter 75% offs. Don't want anything else so meh.

I liked it. I also saved on my Portal 2 pre-order even more, but I'm enjoyin gmost of the games in the Sack.

How do I send extra copies to friends? I already had Killing Floor, but if I can send the extra copy I paid for to a friend, that'd be wonderful!

In the Steam menus (top left -> File, etc) do Games -> Manage Gifts and Guest Passes.
