What does this symbol mean?

So, I was in my school's computer lab and this other guy in there found a note. It had the letters N.O.Y. on it, and inside of it there was a smaller note.

I took a picture of it on the computer's camera.

I don't know what the deal with it is, but I'm a little interested. I checked the trashcan for paper that it could have been cut for and checked under the keyboards for something that's supposed to be a link to it, but found nothing.

Any ideas?

I think it's Not Over You.

As in the moment you tell someone the truth about not liking them in -that- way they turn to hatred feelings at first. And as such the person is Not Over You


... Sounds silly now that I read it back.

What does make sense to me is that initially people don't like the truth very much. SO maybe that's what the hatred is about? Maybe it's a counseling group or something?

Is everyone here just guessing? Frankly I have no idea what NOY stands for in this context however the symbol kind of looks like the symbol for female except the circle on top is small and has a strike through. Also, there is that U like shape going through. Overall, the symbol looks kind of like a cross between the female symbol and the symbol for psychology. Maybe NOY is sometype of girl's psychology club?

Edit: My second guess would be some kind of cult or belief. No I'm not joking, the symbol also looks like an upside down cross and the quote does kind of support it. Tertullian, according to wikipedia was a prolific Christian writer whom tried rationalizing Christian thought.

Seriousness aside, the quote kind of sounds like a way of saying haters gonna hate...

The symbol looks like a Flower to me, It goes Roots,Ground, leaves, stem, flower.

I Cant get any conclusive idea as to what is actually about. If we knew the City this is in, we might be able to find something. Maybe its a Band?

Not if they're awful at it, NOY could be a support group for people that have something like a .0000002 K/D ratio. I don't want to jump to conclusions though, this could be a guild from Star Wars Galaxies that's still holding out on a private server. We may never know.

I have no idea whats it for. A cult or church group(same thing) seem like likely candidates though. Perhaps a local band, I know ones near the high school I attended always put weird sayings and bits of obscure cryptic text on stuff.
