2nd:hes a terrible captain because...
he never wins the toss
Wow. You must be either trolling or incredibly stupid. You think a coin toss, that has nothing to do with anything other that 50/50 chance, is an indication of a captain? That's bafflingly stupid man.

his feild placement is indescicive
Any field is indecisive when your bowlers can't take 20 wickets.

bviously i know more about cricket than you because england is NOT the best team in the world.(india and south africa are above england and they deserve it)
If you looked more carefully at my post I said "at the moment". England are the best team in the world at the moment. The ICC rankings are based off results mostly from last year/early this year. Hope you realise that.
India and South Africa aren't playing that well at the moment against each other. If it wasn't for Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn, South Africa would be in dire trouble. India simply do not have a bowling attack to contend with South Africa or England right now. South Africa and England are very close at the moment - I'd put them equal first.

4thits not a form slump its called old age.
The same "old age" that Tendulkar had this time two years ago?
Rubbish.

my fav batsman for a long time was dammian martin, he got old, his performance suffered, he retired.
Damien Martyn (you should be able to spell your favourite player's name) retired because he didn't give a shit about cricket anymore. He stated quite clearly that he "fell out of love" with the game. Very different case with Ponting.

ponting has been pretty poor for the last 2 years. now hes gone from poor to just plain bad. the public want him gone he should go
Ponting has been poor for two years? My goodness you are a simply a troll aren't you.
I'll let Ian Chappell (you've heard of him, right?) explain to you:
"There'll be a tendency to blame Ricky Ponting for the chaos that surrounds Australian cricket. It's certainly a mess but it's far from all Ponting's making. In fact it was only Ponting's prodigious skill with the bat that kept the great Australian slide at bay for so long. Following the retirement of Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath, the Australian bowling regressed from difficult to overcome to beatable. It was Ponting's ability to make decisive runs that helped Australia amass substantial totals, which in turn enabled the weakened bowling attack to still win matches. When Ponting's bat failed him the awful truth was exposed. The Australian batting was fragile without him dominating at three, and the bowling was extremely inconsistent. In the end, the team-mates he'd protected weren't able to cover his back when he needed their help."

ps hes anounced he will retire from test cricket @ the seasons end. he wouldent do that because of a form slump.
Haha. Don't lie to me.
Most recent news article involving Ricky Ponting (from 36 minutes ago: http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8191385 )
Excerpt:
"Ponting has said that he has no thoughts of retirement or giving up the Australian captaincy, and is committed to the effort to lift the country's fourth World Cup in succession after victories in 1999, 2003 and 2007."
Nice try.
