Im curious. What does your dad do for fun? I was originally going to ask what fo adults do for fun, but knowing these forums, all i would have gotten as an answer would be " I'm an adult i do what i want" or more elaborately " adults do what ever they want because real adults don't care about what others think about what they do, they just do what they enjoy" or some hipster/ young adult male nonsense like that.

So my question is what does your dad do in his spare time to amuse himself.

If you father is deceased then my condolences. If he was absent then you are better off without him, give me the pastime of you main male influence in your life.

My dad, usually plays videogames ( where do you think i picked up the habit?) Or he plays the piano. Usually he plays the piano, buying score of talented individuals past and learning, memorizing and playing their peices. He is an avid fan of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Your turn.

My pops use to play games with me and brother when we were kids, but he started working more. Now he tags along when the whole family goes out to the movies, dinners, or get togethers.

Work

It's kind of super depressing how much that man works but he gets unlimited overtime and does not have anything else to do. He generally works 8-12 hours a day every single day. I don't understand it but that's what he wants to do so whatevs...

When he's not at work, he is either doing every single thing you can do in the few RPGs I have gotten him (he doesn't have the twitch gaming skills for most gaming but a game like Dragon Age where it pauses for his actions he eats up and when I say everything, I mean everything. He's got multiple characters with 100+ hours on more than one of them) or watching TV/Movies with his Netflix account. When it is summer time, we generally go golfing once a week or so.

There's now always at least one sport he's into that has an ongoing season. Football and baseball are his favorites, especially when the Chiefs and Royals are doing well respectively. I'm pretty sure I've also gotten him into hockey, or at least the Chicago Blackhawks. I know he is also a Miami Heats fan, but I'm not sure how closely he follows them.

Beyond that, I know he likes watching TV and movies. He and my step-mom also go out to a lot of malls whenever there's a free concert, though I think they only like going when the bands are playing rock music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Honestly, though, I'm not sure of everything he does. At least he's doing more now than commuting three hours a day and working most of the rest.

Ummmm, fix cars and talk to old friends from high school for hours and hours. I remember being with him once when we stopped for gas on a hot summer day. I waited in the car, arm hanging out the window, expecting him to be in and out. Didn't happen. After what felt like an hour - and probably was - I went in the store and found him mid-conversation and rather than point at his watch, I showed him the difference in shade my one arm had darkened while he was talking.

He also likes westerns, old, B&W westerns, even though with a satellite dish, he's surely seen them all by now. I try to get him interested in more modern action entertainment but it never really sinks in. Why watch Edge of Tomorrow when you can watch Wyatt Earp: The Legend Continues?

Rides his bike and makes pottery. He's 72 and if he hadn't had a couple of crashes recently that have caused some permanent issues he'd probably still be fitter than me.

My father's an art graduate, but he didn't really have the time to pursue it when he was working as a delivery truck driver. Now that he's retired he's able to pursue his hobby once again, producing an average of one or two new pieces per week. His medium is mostly pastels and collages. A fair number of his finished works are on display at a local coffee shop, and he's sold several of them to friends, family and the occasional patron of said establishment.

His other hobbies and diversions consist mostly of house and yard maintenance, checking Facebook and AnonNews (my old man's a bit of a rebel) and the occasional round of Super Smash Bros. or Battlefront II on my old N64/Xbox consoles (I left them for him when I moved out).

He spends "most" of his time at a cemetery that's only a couple of freeways away from where I'm currently living right now...

Other than that, he used to secretly crossdress before [formally] meeting my mother... I'm [slowly] becoming more like my father...

He usually works, the man is practically an workaholic.
Works for him though, and he's made quite a lot of money having his own company and all.

Other than that he likes to go skiing, right now he's in Cervinia, Italy with a group of friends.

My dad's a pretty hardcore gamer. For awhile he was in the top .1% of overall runescape players, and he has trophies for Foosball and yo-yoing. Apart from that, he likes watching movies and shows and stuff, especially scifi, he's got a huge collection of old scifi books, and we have pretty similar taste books/games/movies/shows, so we share a lot of stuff we find. He also loves football.

Nowadays it's Sudoku (never gets bored of sudokus for some reason) and movies/TV. He also does a number of sports and other exercise. He used to play HoMM III a lot (a game he got for ME back in 2000), but after 12 years or something he finally got bored of it.

He's been getting into betting on sports recently, but thankfully he doesn't risk any great deal of money. He rarely bets more than a quid, so I think he enjoys the actual act of placing the bet more than the making money part.
He's got into bird watching recently as well. Which, for the most part, consists of him taking pictures of sparrows in the garden with his really friggin' expensive camera, but hey as long as he's happy.

He used to game quite a lot but any games that interested him just became too difficult. Think he lost the reflexes necessary for platformers, which is a shame because I used to really enjoy watching him play through the Jak & Daxter games. He also used to love the Gran Turismo games, but nowadays they seem to require you to be really good or to sink an awful lot of time into to get anywhere, so eventually he just stopped playing.

My dad enjoys gardening, reading the news and watching football or rugby depending on what's on. The problem is, he does all that at the same time which means he'll be out in the garden and come in and take issue with the fact that someone else wants to watch the TV.

He's also got a bad habit of making me clean up his messes in the garden which I wouldn't mind but I know he'd just take the lawnmower over it but he also takes enjoyment by making me clean up by using a rake and bags with holes in them.

Really, he annoys people for fun.

He played the banjo, he rode a motorcycle (got me into it as well :p), he liked recording movies he didn't have yet from TV, even though he was retired he kept doing administrative work for a few of his former clients, he liked taking walks in nature every now and then, and...I can't think of anything else though I'm sure he did more than that.

My dad loves to cook. Every time I see him he is cooking something. He drops off curries and soups and spare ribs and anything else he has whipped up for to eat from time to time. They are always extremely good. He likes to make south Asian and southeast Asian dishes especially.

nothing. He just lies in a coffin underground like a lazy bugger ...

ok, ok, he was big on fishing. He had legit camping gear, state of the art rods for pro fishing, that was his entire life. I often wondered if that was the only thing he ever actually cared about, but now I know
