I havn't played much minecraft but most of what I've done involved huge monuments (pyramids, temples, etc. ) to my greatness. This clearly means I have a huge ego.
well, to get water out of a dome, theres a couple of ways to do it. one is to build an outline of your desired base out of dirt or whatever, cover it in glass, dig under it, and mine out the stuff you outlined your base with. my idea would be to just decide on a height, pile sand that high in a rough shape of what your central dome area will be, cover it in glass, then dig down in the sand and just expand it from the bottom, breaking the glass and plugging leaks, since only flows will go into yer dome, not source blocks.Avatar Roku said:I have a firend who builds bases like that. Makes more sense than you think, makes it harder for enemies to find your actual base, since they are attracted to light.rhyno435 said:I haven't actually played Minecraft, but if I did, I would build a sprawling underground base, with a large portion above ground, but the above ground part is basically the inside of a mountain, and the only entrance is through the underground, a fair distance away. That is my dream.
It sounds more awesome than it does practical...How the hell do you find enough clay?Cazza said:An apartment building made out of brick. Me and my friends have a place each in it.
I like doing projects with people. If your not working togther you might as well play singleplayer.oooh, I like that. Mind if I use that? Also, how do you get the water out of the dome? I can't think of any way that wouldn't drown me.stoprequesting said:I'm generally a fan of giant underwater domes that I get grass to. No idea what it means about me - I like how it looks from above.I've thought of doing that, but seems like too much work. Would be cool, though.th155 said:I don't really build bases. I have maybe a 10x10x7 wooden hut where I keep my chests/workbench/furnace, but apart from that, i do not touch the surface. At all. Everything i do is underground. My current project is to make the ground one block thick for a couple of chunks (dig anywhere, and you fall into bedrock) I have no idea what that says about me.
