Amanda: of Latin origin. Popularized by poets and playwrights in the 17th/18th century.

It means "worthy to be loved," or "fit to be loved," or even "must be loved." Or simply, "lovable."

Aww. My friends surprised me with a celebration for my birthday yesterday. They gave me handwritten letters full of love and appreciation. They told me I should feel well-loved and I DO feel well-loved! So my name, besides just liking it in general, holds significant meaning for me. I am one lucky person.

"Held by the heel," or, figuratively, "he deceives." Very fitting for its original namesake-besides grasping his bro's heel at birth, he grew up and tricked the brother out of the family birthright and paternal blessing. Well, his mom had a part in it too...

Something like "God's gift".
Considering that God gifted us with mortality and a few disasters, it's kinda fitting.

Zachary, being a variant of Zechariah, means, "God has remembered," according to Wikipedia.

My last name (Holland), no idea what that means.

And my middle name (Bruce), no idea what that means either.

First name: like god or he who is like god

Middle name: manly, manly farmer

Last name: one who works with metals, smith

So a godly metal farmer? or the manliest god smith (Hephaestus?) or Farm god? (male Demeter?)
