My name, Kyan, is pronounced Kuh-Yawn and means "existence" in Arabic, derived from "al-Kaun," which means "the universe."

My last name means "good man" in Farsi.

So I guess I'm the existence of a good man.

"Randell" - Something about being a friend to animals. Which is nice because I -do- like the furry little guys.

Also - My initials spell out R.E.M., be it the band or the dream state. While my name is "Randell", I went by "Randy" most of my life, despite finding out that it's English slang for "horny".

My first name is Michael and is hebrew. Means "who is god like?"... Wait, I get a question mark! That pretty much means whoever came up with the meaning of my name was just making shit up, and made god like as a random suggestion.

God damn it...
This for all you non-Christian Michaels out there who don't use a Hebrew dictionary to look up a Biblical name.

Actually it is "Who is like God?" and you have to look at it from a Hebrew perspective, or it's a name that has lost meaning. The name isn't saying "you are like God". It's saying "Who is like God? Who is comparable to God? Who can do the things of God?" No one. The name Michael is a name full of humility that displays God's sovereignty.

Since you're probably not a Christian, you don't appreciate that, but I'm a Christian, and I do. Who is like God? Nobody.

Anyway, my name: to fetter by tying back the fetlock, also a Biblical name.

My first name, Perry, is from the Welsh phrase "ab herry," son of Henry. I was given this name in honor of my great-great-grandfather, Perry Julian Castlebury, who owned the first car dealership in Aiken, South Carolina and was rich during the Great Depression.
My middle name, Hamner, is a corruption of the name Hanmer, which either means "of Hanmer," a diocese of St. Asaph, or "born near Hanamere Lake."
My last name, Watson, means "son of Watt," which is a nickname given to people by the name of "Walter." However, I choose to believe I am actually descended from the super-awesome Scottish engineer James Watt, for whom the unit of power is named and who perfected the steam engine, effectively kicking off the Industrial Revolution.

Also, my Latin name (given to me by my awesome Latin teacher) is Maximus, which means "the biggest" or "the greatest," or both, in my case. :)

Etymology rules.

I can't find a meaning for my name
(Remus)
, but I know it's origins for me.

Contrary to everyone I meet's belief, I am not named after the 'Origins of Rome myth', but the fictional author 'Uncle Remus', who penned such works as Brere Rabbit.
