my Name doesnt really have a meaning, but its the Name of a god the ancient god of wine, wine cups, wineskin, grapes, theater, and fertility. The god who inspires ritual madness, joyful worship, and ecstasy, carnivals, celebration, he is the foreign god, who might bring pestilence but that last one was christian propaganda....or was it?

'Strong Christian'..

Yea, not exactly what I would have chosen if I'd had a say in the matter.

Katherine: it could derive from the earlier Greek name Hekaterine which came from "hekateros", "each of the two"; it could derive from the name of the goddess HECATE; it could be related to Greek "aikia" "torture" or could be from a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name". And apparently early Christians associated it with the Greek καθαρος "katharos" "pure".

I love behindthenname. Much easier than trying to remember it all. I'm not sure which meaning I like more.... xD

I know my middle name (Dawn) means "sunrise" - obviously.

My last name is a derivative of the German word for "hare".

A lot of people ask me that, and I say this: Whatever I want it to, *****. To believe.

I never could quiet understand some peoples' fetish to learn the meaning of names, and the ethnicity of people. To each his own, I guess.

Jenessa actually has no official meaning. It's just a combination of Jennifer and Vanessa. Usually I combine the meanings as well to get "White Butterfly"

For my middle name, Rose, I'm just guessing here but I think it means "Rose"

NO, my real name is Kennedy.

Supposedly it's a girls name that people use on their daughters to honor that [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy] president.

But my dad decided it would be better to honor the airport [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy_International_Airport] instead.

Mine (Lucas) has rwo meanings. It's original one means "Someone hailing from the town of Lucan" which is an old Italian town. The more modern version just borrows from Luke's: "Bearer of light".

My name is Declan Bass.
My dad told me that "Declan" means "Last" and "Bass" means "of the forest"
So my name all together means "Last of the forest"
Cool ain't it.

Mines rather bland so instead i'll go with the usual route of ignoring reality in favor of something more interesting, i believe that nathan means he would lead us into space on the back of the cupcake raptor fish.

Sorry to kill your dreams but Declan means "full of goodness" and Bass either refers to the low frequency sound or the fish. Probably the fish in all likelihood.

So your name probably means "fat juicy fish". Pleasant tidings.

As for me, Matthew - A biblical name, typically translates to something along the lines of Gift of Jehovah/God/Yahweh.

Dario (for English speakers it's more common to see it spelled as Darius), as far as I know, is a name that comes from Persia and means "The one who protects/preserves", it was later taken by the Greeks with a different meaning: "Wealthy, he possesses, kingly", and the Spaniards: "Affluent".
