As for me? Wordsmith is something that came from messing about with a mate and throwing lyrics at each other, I came out with "Always well ahead of the plan/my absurd gift/lyrically beating you man/like word 'smith". Needless to say, it stuck.
I got Macropter from the word macropterous, which means having large wings (Makros(big) + pteros(wing) + -ous(a suffix that makes the word an adjective, usually meaning "pertaining to" or "having to do with")). Anyway, I thought it sounded cool, almost like an Irish dinosaur(Get it? Like McRaptor? Hee-hee), so I chopped off the suffix, and kept it. A quick google search reveals it's also used in the scientific name of a few bugs, which makes sense.

Mine's a bad joke from years back with some buddies. We wanted to create user names on a forum that were silly and would be easily noticeable by each other without telling each other to begin with.
I spent a good 20 minutes trying to think of one with some music on, when suddenly my computer plays Rancid's cover of La Bamba. So I say to myself, "I love this song" and then remembered that everyone in my high school thought I was Spanish(dark skin, dark hair, not a very bright community around here).
So yeah, not very interesting but that's how it came to be.

Mine is the combination of the main characters name from my two favorite detective movies and my favorite hockey players number. Axle as in Axle Foley from Beaverly Hills Cop. Bullitt as in Frank Bullitt from the movie Bullitt. With 19 from Steve Yzerman.
twc (TWisted Clan) is actually from back when I played Diablo II, a real life friend of mine made the clan, so I felt kinda obligated to join it, now I just use it because, as an ex pyro, I've always been a fan of the word blaze, so I just use it as a prefix to get that as my screen name.
Mine came to me one fatefull day because having an announcer announce "DoomyMcDoom, has entered the battle"(insert arena instead of battle, or has arrived or is on the field) always seems to cause people to chuckle at the name givin me a couple seconds grace to mess em up... also people don't take the name serious due to what it is and gives me more suprise in suprise tactics... and stuff...
It just fits me as I know we all are doomed, and I like to doom my enemies/detractors in creative ways.
