Since I just had to write a paper on Punk Rock, I've been listening to a lot of early British punk - the highlights would definitely be:

The Clash's self-titled debut
The "Singles Going Steady" compilation by the Buzzcocks
"Machine Gun Etiquette" by The Damned
"Never Mind the Bollocks" by the Sex Pistols (naturally). The Clash's debut is my favourite, though.

Radiohead - The Bends, OK Computer

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

Muse - The Resistance
marry me, marry me, Muse!? eurgh get out!

Me - Brand New - Deja Entendu
That's what I thought about Muse in the beginning ("Radiohead ripoffs, pretentious band"), but then I listened closer to some of their songs. The Resistance has some really interesting and innovative stuff in there. Oh, and since I am ignorant to all things Twilight, I only recently realized that they're associated with it...I lost some respect, but their music is still great. On the other hand, Porcupine Tree are my new love.

I've had the Gorillaz album Demon Days in my stereo for the last week now. i had forgotten how amazing all the tracks on it were.
Same! In WMP they're all 5*'d besides White Light which sadly only made it to dizzy ranks of 4* :(
You can just stick it on shuffle and do what you've got to do without having to worry about a crap song coming on.
Such a shame Plastic Beach was nowhere near as good...

You By Me Vol. 1- Dan Potthast and Tomas Kalnoky

I've had this on repeat nonstop since I got it. Their covers of each other's songs are just amazing. This in particular is my favorite. Dan Potthast's cover of Streetlight Manifesto's song The Big Sleep. I like it more than the original and that's saying something considering the fact that Streetlight is my favorite band.

Biffy Clyro's Infinity Land.
Haven't listened to all of the songs yet, but so far it's awesome, especially Glitter and Trauma and There's No Such Thing as a Jaggy Snake.
