Like the title says, if you could have any fictional character (movies, games, comics, books etc) in charge of your armies against an alien invasion, who would it be?

This character is in charge of strategic battle plans, what weapons the soldiers will have and what kind of armour/protection the soldiers are equipped with.

So who is your general that will lead Earth to salvation?

I was considering posting the God Emperor.. but I think you're right.

Of all the leaders I've seen in 40k extended fiction, I think Gaunt is probably the most human, humane, and fair to those under his command.
