That being said, that scene from Futurama about Fry's dog where it waits loyally for him until his dying breath is a bit of a tearjerker.
Yeah, Futurama is the only show to make me shed a tear while watching a show or a movie. I cried there and during the end of my favorite episode Luck of the Fryish. That is the one where we learn about Fry's 7-leaf clover.
Those two episodes brought tears to my eyes.
Just... damn.

Also, the opening scenes of Up! had me fighting back tears.

I have shed tears only twice in my life to TV shows or movies.

1) The ending of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. It's cheesy now but not when I was 10.
2) The ending of Elfen Lied. Yep, that ending earned its tears.

I have also cried to 1 video game and 2 songs. I don't cry much.

This thread might as well be a poll asking us if we cried when Fry's dog dies =7P.

But that was one that got to me as well. For a show as abstract and silly as Futurama it's kinda affecting when they bring out the really sad parts.

Also, the Episode of Buffy where
her mother dies.
. That's a pretty sad 'un.

No episode of any show or film has even come close to drawing an emotional reaction except this.

The episode leading up to and after Warrick Brown's death. It was fantastically done, with the emotional moments before his death making it all the more devastating.

It wasn't me. But my brother cried at the pokemon episode where Ash released his Butterfree during the first season. It was pretty damn sad, though!

I final scenes of MASH: Goodbye, Farewell and Amen where everyone is leaving the 4077th for the last time always gets to me. I can usually hold out until Hawkeye takes off in the chopper and sees the huge "Goodbye" BJ wrote out for him with rocks.

I was touched during the Pinky and the Brain and Phineas and Ferb Christmas specials.
Sadness is a cartoon that would never go that way?
Unexpected.

Maria-Sama ga Miteru. So many episodes, I won't even bother listing. Basically, any episode about Sei Satou and a few random others. Also, Candy Boy and Basquash had their occasional tear-jerker moments.

Can't think of any non-anime shows, though.

The opening scene didn't do that so much as the last scene in Up.

Where their house is sitting at the falls with their chairs out front. Also, it really brought a tear to my eyes when he threw everything out of the house but placed the chairs in their correct order.

I'm going to go with the majority here and say Futurama: Jurassic Bark.

I refuse to watch that episode becuase I don't want to be that sad.

I've cried in every season of Lost (except 6, which I haven't watched yet AT ALL so no one mention it, and don't even quote me to tell me it's good or bad) - it's absolutely amazing, nothing else gets a reaction from me like that show does.

Mrs. Landingham's death in the West Wing. I still cry when I see that episode and the one following it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. She was probably my favourite character and the scene with President Bartlett yelling at God in the church is brilliant.

Jurrasic Bark and the ending of the final Futurama episode were also tear-jerkers.

Well for me i'd say the final episode of black adder goes fourth (only people from britan/ireland would of seen it) and again "Jurrasic Bark"

But although i'm not the biggest scrubs fan the "my lunch" episode was pretty Sad

Futurama's Jurassic Bark and Luck of the Fryish and one episode of Pokemon for some strange reason. I don't even recall what exactly had happened, I just know the pokemon cried and so did I.

Only one thing has EVER made me cry, and it was when I was a kid...

The only thing to even come close was two instances in Azumanga Daioh: when Sakaki had to leave the kitten behind and the graduation ceremony. After each instance, I realized how I feeling and literally went "Must... do... something... manly..."

the only thing on tv that ever made me cry was the movie The Guardian when they cut the rope on Kevin Costners character because theres not enough room on the helicopter and he tells them to. Granted that was a few years back but that was so freaking sad!

The season premiere of season 2 and all subsequent finales of Supernatural.
Someone dies horribly every time, but it still gets me.
