I'm pretty sure the punishment is death for any trekkie that doesn't say the Star Trek universe, so the Star Trek universe it is.

My top two places would either be Middle Earth or Rapture. Those are the two settings that I got very involved and interested in.
I've never understood people who would want to live in rapture. Sure, it would be dandy until someone who shoots bees out of their hand murders you.

Oh man, you just reminded me of this:

Help, I'm covered in BEES!

I would have to say Middle Earth would be magically awesome, or Star Wars, but only if I was a Jedi, at a time when they weren't being hunted to extinction (which seems to be ALL THE TIME!)

The Culture, from Iain M. Bank's Culture novels.
This, probably the only one where you have very little chance of getting brutally murdered.

Alagaesia (Eragon)
I would work in a hospital and secretly have magical powers that I would surreptitiously use to heal people more effectively. If someone I healed found out I was using magic and thought magic was evil (read: if they were duped by propaganda), I would point out that I was only using it to save lives. If they were convinced, there's one more person who probably won't fight for the (evil) Empire when the Varden (rebel group) attacks; if not, I'd erase their memory of finding out ;)

A Hermit's Cave
Probably the world of Aria/Aqua, 'cos there's nothing I need to do except relax.

If some sort of violence is to take place, then Mass Effect's universe, with all the weaponry to go with it.

Ivalice from the Final Fantasy Tactics games, I've always loved the games and the world is pretty interesting. A close second to whatever the Minecraft world is. Punching trees all day and building advanced creations as a means of survival would be awesome, only thing stopping it from being #1 is creepers. They break my stuff :(

Either the Golden Sun universe, or the RuneScape universe. The Golden Sun one would be amazing with the adepts, healers, and whathaveyou.
Hear me out on the RuneScape one though, as I'm fairly certain there isn't a lot of love for that game of this site. Direct intervention of the gods, death only being an inconvenience for your wallet, "murder" for sport and profit, magic, limitless world resources, and the ability to carry 28 of any item of any size at a time.

The Pokemon universe of course!

Because... well... POKEMON.

That and not even an inferno can kill you, you just get some dust on your hat.

EDIT: Or the Harry Potter world, provided I was a wizard.

I'm so mainstream.
