If you've walked out of a movie or sat through a terrible film out of the principle of having paid for it, what was it?

Personally, I sat through A Perfect Storm in the cinema out of the interest of being sociable. In hindsight the time and money could have been much better spent.
Hey, that's my avatar. Give it back.

I actually PAID to see that Street Fighter: Chun Li movie. Oh, the horror I tell you!

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. My god was that confusing... And dull. And a mindfuck. Oh and the most recent Indy film. I walked out about the time he climbed into a lead lined fridge and survived a nuclear explosion. I know, suspension of disbelief but that was just way too much.

Dragon Wars... possibly the worst movie ever...

Also the Feast Trilogy.
I remember Dragon Wars, and boy that was indeed a terrible movie. Couldn't bear to watch after the first 15 minutes.

I didn't pay to see it, but I hated "War of the Worlds".
I'm not sure if it was a remake or something, but I still want to shoot the screaming brat.
That movie did have a terrible ending. I am sad to say that it is the most likely scenario of how humans would win against an invading alien species. It felt like a dues ex machina. I would have liked "and the aliens went away because they realized they had the wrong planet" better than it's actual ending.
Well, not to nitpick, but at least they used the ending from the novel instead of whoring out the ending. I mean, the bulk of the movie plot was unrelated (the basement scene where he kills the crazy survivor happens in the book), but between that and the ending, that's about all they kept.

On topic, though, Eragon.
Am I right?

I've been doing this thing where I've been more open minded and as such am watching obscure lesser known movies from all genres that I find at my local video store.... and every single time I find myself lementing because I have learned a lesson so many times but it never seems to take. Here is the thing I have learnt recently:

"Sometimes, rare obscure and forgotten movies that no one has ever heard of and can only be found at the back of shelves were obscured and forgotten for a very good reason. Because they were terrible."

The only movie I've ever walked out of was "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe". I watched a good 20 minutes of it, and that was enough.

Eragon strayed so far from the book they should have called it something else, and the story and acting was horrific.
But the worst movie Ive ever seen has to be Weatherman with Nicolas Cage. It seemmed like it would get better, but then it didnt, then it seemmed to get better, and then turned to utter crap and repeated this cycle until the end of the movie. I couldnt belive i watched the whole thing.

I have seen my fair share of terrible films, the last one was Forbidden Kingdom. I wanted to leave but somehow my friend was enjoying it so I let myself be tormented for an hour more, then I stormed out and demmanded my money back!

And with that money I bought Geomatry Wars for DS, and it's awesome!

I love my girlfriend very much. Apparently it is not a mutual feeling, as she took me to see Twilight, promising an epic action film and hideously violent vampires.

She was wrong. It was the single most horrifying thing I have ever experienced.

/sympathy please

That piece of garbage known as Epic Movie. It's the only film I have ever seen in which a bunch of chavs (who I thought liked this stuff) shouted out in the theatre "Hands up if you think this is shit!" And people actually responded.

Also, Indiana Jones and the Crappy Skull Thing. The fridge was dumb enough, but I found my brain starting to hurt around the time that they depicted John Hurt as a loony with no discernible point to his character. And the alien spaceship? For Gods sake.

I could go on for a long time here, but I'm not running the risk of my brain melting.
