What films did you hate to see?

Movies I saw on DVD that I hated:
Date Movie: Just watch the commercial 5 times, and you've seen it. Then again, if you watch TV regularly you would have seen over 100 commercials for it. Just about every parody in the movie are in the commercials.
Failure to Launch: stereotypical chick flick, only worse.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: Only saw bits and pieces. Nothing that hasn't been seen before.

I don't have many more, as I pick and chose my battles.

I didn't pay to see it, but I hated "War of the Worlds".
I'm not sure if it was a remake or something, but I still want to shoot the screaming brat.

Of course it was a remake. Have you never heard of War of the Worlds at all?

Apparently not...
I can make an assumption that the original beat up the remake, stole it's wallet and then threw it's own coins at it?
In other words, "was it better"?

It's a scifi classic. It really isn't possible to like scifi and not heard of that movie. But, yes the original was much better. On a related note, the remake of the day the earth stood still did a pretty good job...up until the ending of course.

I have only a fuzzy recollection of the original, but I seem to recall the earth standing still being a fairly major plot point in the original. Did anyone else notice how that didn't come up so much in the remake? They should have renamed it "The day Keanu Reeves found a role that suited his acting capabilities: emotionless alien"

Also, Terminator Salvation. I'm the sort of person that can't sit through a movie with out picking at the plot flaws, and this movie had some major ones that were seriously off-putting. I mean, I was sitting through the special effects for most of the movie(and they were pretty damn good) and my inner monologue was going: (Massive spoilers)

Kill Kyle Reese!! Why doesn't skynet kill Kyle Reese?? He's sitting around in one of their cells for half the movie as bait for John Conner, why the hell don't they just kill him before he can go back in time and father Conner?? And why set off a nuclear explosion UNDERNEATH you when you're in a helicopter? How does that work with you not dying!? and how does the pinnacle of technological warfare, the terminator, consistantly lose to rope traps and pointy objects??

I'm sorry that was a rant but I saw that movie last night and the hate is still fresh in my mind.

That movie did have a terrible ending. I am sad to say that it is the most likely scenario of how humans would win against an invading alien species. It felt like a dues ex machina. I would have liked "and the aliens went away because they realized they had the wrong planet" better than it's actual ending.

That's how it was supposed to end.....

That doesn't mean I like that ending any better. It just means that I probably wont like the book any better

Twilight...oh god Twilight! I'd rather castrate myself than watch that movie again, this is why you should never see a movie with girls if your a guy, it'll only be something with Zac Effron in showing off his "abs" to make the girls drool and will have no appeal to you whatsoever.
Or it will be twilight.

Which you should never watch under any circumstances...
