I was shown ZP by a friend of mine, watched them all, then just drifted onto the forums.

Ditto.
Mostly is was because I'd said: "Gee, I've had enough with MMORPGs... How 'bouts I try The Witcher?"
Shock and awe, and an addiction later...

In all seriousness, my brother showed me Zero Punctuation (I know, you're shocked), and in a total lack of things to do, I saw all videos, saw the rest of the content (mostly the forum content) and eventually signed up. Now I'm a proud member and an avid reader/watcher of the interesting content here.

I just recently (as in an hour ago) came across ZP and stumbled into these forums. I was surprised that I could read a gaming forum and not foam at the mouth with rage at the stupidity of most of the posts *cough gamespot cough* so I created an account.

the fact it had active forums where random stupid topics were not allowed and people were told to search before they post.

unlike gamespot, where some zidiot makes a silly thread every 7 mins and the same threads get re-made about 45 times because the search function eludes its members.
