What forgotten game/IP do you wish to be revived for the current-gen?

The only one that comes to me off of the top of my head is a new Metal Arms game. Glitch in the System was an absolutely incredible experience and still holds up rather well to this day. It was inventive, passionate, and overall fun.

I'm aware that Activision/Blizzard owns the IP at this point are just sitting on it, doing nothing. What gives? I know Glitch in the System didn't sell very well, but I wouldn't at all mind a revamp/remake for newer consoles. I say this because if that were to happen, my hope(s) for the sequel that was promised so many years ago might come to fruition.

Metal Arms needs to come back, simple as that.

Silent Storm. It has been over 10 years since we last saw one. I want a new one in HD!
Absolutely this, though I believe a setting other than WWII would benefit the series. Perhaps during the Korean or Vietnam wars, with appropriately advanced Panzerkliens? Or go full alternate present and see what kind of trouble a modern Panzerklien-armed PMC could get into on the world stage? That would be sweet.

Personally, though, I want to see Terry Pratchet and Eric Idle return to bring us another Discworld adventure game. Possibly under the umbrella of Telltale? That would be super sweet.

I personally wish someone would take the IP for jeepers creepers. Hey you never specified what kind of IP. That said, it's been 12 YEARS since the franchise had any activity.
Hell here's a pitch: open world game, you play as everyone's favorite.... demon, I guess you could call him that. You can run at ludicrous speeds(think like in the prototype series, which now that I think about it could also use another game right about now) and fly like in the movie, search for people, smell them and scared them, maybe even have a chance of them ruining their pants if you can scare them enough, and then take whatever you...... like. From there maybe have it so you get the parts and spend parts to upgrade your abilities and make yourself even harder to kill, though I would rather have a skill tree for take-downs, durability, and weapons you can carry while the more lungs and heart you have the faster you move, the more eyes the farther you can see and detect someone, ect, and if someone shoots you, then you have a chance of loosing the corresponding organ (ex:shot in eye, loose that eye and now you have trouble seeing, shot in chest loose a heart, though it's more likely that it would hit a lung logically given the size and the fact there's one on either side of the heart.... getting of topic though) and if you get shot in a limb, you loose it and have to get a new one. I now have an image of an hillbilly with a shotgun blowing a leg off right before it flies into the air and grabs his friend for a replacement limb.
The whole "23"days thing would probably be a difficult thing to work in. I can think of two possible methods: (A) like Arkham city time progresses as you work your way through the story or (B) do something similar to dead rising and have time progress, just at an accelerated rate, say maybe one day equals a 3, maybe 4 hours? So a single playthrough would round out to 69 or 92 hours respectively, assuming the game doesn't have a mechcanic like, say taking a person to it's house of pain and make them into weapons like those knives or the shuriken with danny's belly button would take several hours. I would rather it be instant than take time.

Seiken Denetsu (World of Mana Series) really should be given another shot, let's forget that PS2 and DS game ever existed and go back to the world of Secret of Mana, it's sequel, and the grand hidden jewel of the spin-off Legend of Mana. This IP could be great if Square just sticks to it's strengths and doesn't try to play Final Fantasy with it an reinvent the wheel.

X-wing alliance, the last (that I know of) of the X-wing/Tie Fighter series. The coolest part was where you could create custom battles. I spent hours days creating all kinds of scenarios. The update I would look most forward to would be to the AI of the ships, as they were quite derpy.

Seriously Edios, where the FUCK is my sequel?! You promised a sequel years ago and haven't delievered.

There's so much potential with directions a sequel could take, but we'll never see them because Edios doesn't give a shit.
man with today's capabilities they could flush out teammates and really make the fighting full scale with guerrilla warfare and shit.

I'd love for a sequal.

OT: Dispite never coming to US before I'd love for a sequal or remaster of Bahamut Lagoon. God I love that game and would love square Enix to make a sequal

I'd love a new Baten Kaitos... I miss the battle system, I have to play through the gamecube games every now and then to get my fix.

Also, pokemon snap.. I want a Wii U pokemon snap that uses the screen-in-screen function of the gamepad, so you can use the gamepad as the camera.

RUSH 2: Extreme Racing USA. We need more true arcade racers again where going as fast as possible and making crazy huge jumps was the most important thing 90% of the time.

Dungeon Keeper 2. Technically it wasn't forgotten as EA made a new one for mobile. But they did forget the entire spirit and purpose of the game.

For me there are two franchises that I would like to see return. The first is No One Lives Forever and the other is Vampire Bloodlines: The Masquerade.

The Battle for Middle Earth games.

Sure, they weren't the most balanced RTS games, but they're easily the most fun I've had in the genre. Some of the late game abilities and heroes were incredibly fun to use.

Ever since EA lost the license, the games have stopped being made and there's no legal way to obtain them digitally. The only way to legally obtain them now is through Amazon or Ebay, and the prices are in the 200 dollar range.

There is a sequel, is there not? Although I guess it's not very recent.

I'm going way into the past here, but I think it's time for Jumpman to make a comeback. The Tenchu series still has some more life in it. I also want a sequel to Conker's Bad Fur Day, but it must have a proper title. The only correct title for a Conker game is this-
Conker II Bigger, Badder, Furrier!
No other title will do.

Oops, rant coming in...

Any JRPG not related to NIS, Gust, Compile Heart or Idea Factory.

Screw Hyperdimension Neptunia, screw the Atelier games, screw the Ar Tonelico games and all those little horrors like Time And Eternity, Fairy Fencer, Akiba's Trip, Tears To Tiara and The guided Fate Paradox. And you know what? Yes, even Disgaea. The series might have been an interesting curiosity when the first game was released on PS2, but the torrent of shit that followed has retroactively destroyed any linient attitude I might have had towards it. Same horrendous, boring, uninspired, pandering visual style. Same non-story with unlikable characters and constant awkward fan-service. Same horrible, childish sense of 'humor' that never stops. Same stupid, lazy, insulting, grind inducing gameplay.

Where are the Shin Megami Tensei games for home consoles?
Where's Lost Odyssey?
Legend of Legaia? (more like the first one, less like the second one please)
Shadow Hearts? (more like the first two, less like the one we don't talk about)
Legend of Dragoon?
Chrono Trigger?
Skies of Arcadia?
Rogue Galaxy?

Hell, I'd even take another Star Ocean or Xenosaga game before I'd even think about playing something like Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!!

Fuck the state of present day Japanese RPGs.

I absolutely loved E.V.O.

Give me a game with pretty much the same exact premise and evolution aspect in an open world setting.

The best thing would be seeing 3D models of whatever random creature you can make.

I'd say the usual FF7, but it's not exactly forgotten and I don't really want a remake anymore - I just want them to make a wicked anime series for it.

Oh please, please, please - give us an HD re-render/re-master of the entire "Legacy of Kain" series! As long as you leave the quality stuff like the voice-acting the way it is I don't mind dealing with the ass-backwards gameplay of the early puzzle design... just let us enjoy these gems of gaming in glorious new-gen looks! Pleeeeeaaaaaase!
This, I would absolutely love this.

I'd love it even more if they gave us a new single-player LoK game for the current gen instead of the team deathmatch style game that we got recently.
Everyone in their right mind would love that. Unfortunately they'd at least have to start over with a new set of characters; even though Defiance ended on a cliffhanger, Raziel's arc has come to a close, and Tony Jay won't be reprising his magnificent role as the Elder God for obvious reasons. Besides, at this point I'm pretty sure fans like us know more about the entire franchise and the in-game history than anyone at Crystal or Eidos, so hoping for quality writing in a potential sequel at this point is, dare I say it, a fumble.

Oh yes, and I will never ever ever play that Nosgoth multiplayer thing. The very concept alone is still enough to make me expel glowing-hot projectile vomit.
