Been playing a bit of Rise of Nations, a bit of Tetris, and a bit of Advance Wars while waiting for Empire: Total War to come out. As I've mentioned previously, my wedding anniversary is next Tuesday, which means I won't be able to fully enjoy the game on its retail launch day. I figure my wife will get tired of my company sooner or later, and I've got the 4th off, so as I see it I can hold her until she falls asleep then stay up all night playing.

Age of Conan, was just 15 euro's and I was bored, so what the heck. Wanna see for myself if it's still as crap as at the launch (in short: not really, enjoying it). Also started Halo 3 again, on Legendary, and the first Metroid Prime for the Gamecube.

I'm STILL playing CoD4. As a bona fide gaming tart. This is the longest i've stuck with a game. Doing the Arcade Mode on Veteran and playing online.

Albion is a really good game and nostalgic. Bought it when I was a kid and still have it around.
Never managed to play it through though. Always got stuck after the second boat travel.
Without a journal it gets hard to keep track of what you are after. I agree with the reviewer, the story is great and really sucks you in.

It is a beautiful remnant from the time developers didn't concentrate every last particle of resources to making an eye blindingly realistic engine, but actually gave time to developing characters and making a really immersive storyline.
Yeah, I would say I am definitely enjoying it so far.

The only problem I run into is that the game runs just a little spotty on my computer and locks up now and then. In of itself this wouldn't be too horrible except I keep getting so drawn into the game I find myself repeatedly forgetting to save and end up losing the last couple hours. :p

But the overall level of storytelling is something that modern games could learn from, it has been a very long time since the twists in a game have legitimately surprised me as much as the ones in Albion have.

Ah screw it, right now I'm struggling with silverfall and the old magic the gathering computer game.
Because neither will work for me, which is a shame as they're both pretty good games.

COD 4, Gears 2, Left 4 dead, and GTA 4. Waiting for Prototype. Someone please explain to me how Call of Duty 4 can still be more fun than Call of Duty World at War. I have a feeling one reason is because the helicopter is easier to deal with than the F***ing dogs but that's just me.

Fallout 3 second time around ( the first time i had jesus karma, now im making it my personal vendetta to kill all killable npc's in the game)

Dead space- and freaking bored. I don't see what other people see in this game.

Saints Row 2 for when i want something wacky.

Stalker clear sky - This is my third time playing over half the game and downloading an update that corrupted my sav.files so i'm waiting a while for them to work out the bugs. WHY DO I LOVE THIS GAME!!!?

Just finished Resistance 2 in practically 2 sittings. maybe the multilayer will have something to offer.

Zelda Twilight princess - For when i want to actually look at my Wii

Yeah, the storytelling is brilliant and the battle system is not bad, even if it is turn based. It's a bit like chess.
The world and it's detailing like the towns and npcs is really wide and unique and the character development is pretty well put together and really feels like you are actually playing with a band of wanderers and not spacemarine super soldiers who kill any monster by farting at it. Even the loss of one partymember is really bad in battle.
I'm not really sure if I like that the gold takes up weight capacity, but at least it's realistic in that manner.
