Not really.
Look at the gameboy Final Fantasy re-releases, compare them to the DS equivalents and then see if you still hold that opinion.

Are we talking GB/GBC or can we throw in GBA as well?
Because...seriously...Japan. Send us Mother 3. Like...now.

Since Heart Gold is coming to DS, I'm picking one up. Gold is by far my favorite Gameboy game of all time.

Pokemon Silver (I know I'm a nerd for saying so, but I still would love to see Silver to come back with a graphic update.)
Pokemon silver is coming out for the DS.
It will be Soul Silver!

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

By far the hardest battle I have had with Ganon.
Not to get technical but Ganon isn't even in that one, unless you count the Shadow version in the battle against the Final Nightmares, and that one is an extremely lobotimized version of Link to the Past's Ganon. Now, the Ganon in the linked Oracle games... that was tough.

Again, Metroid 2 remake. Check out Von Richter's 'Metroid SR388' to see just how far some folks will go to see this made reality. If he ever completely finished it it would probably be greater than any Nintendo remake (it includes all the Super Metroid powerups too).

All three of the Gameboy SaGa games (aka Final Fantasy Legend) deserve remakes with the grind quotient toned down (okay, maybe not the first one, but the third was great). Alas, since SaGa Frontier sold poorly even during a watershed era for JRPGs it will likely never happen. I'd recommend Final Fantasy Adventure but there's already been one- Children of Mana.

Not to get technical but there is a different Link in every game so Shadow Ganon is as real as any other.
I must admit The Orcale games were quite easy for me, the Ganon in that was like a zombie who has fallen on the groud and I had a shotgun to his head.

I would say Pokemon Gold and Silver, but that's happening :D
Not a GBA game, but I think the DS can handle Super Metroid.
And Metroid II with color.

Not every game... there were a few direct sequels. Did you see GameTrailer's timeline? It directly addresses the shadow Gannon issue.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Add a couple touch controls and it still wouldn't matter! Heck! A little extra bonus stuff wouldn't be bad either!

Megaman Zero Saga 1,2,3,4
If they combined all these games into one and put it on the DS it would be ROCK-SUM!

Mario and the Seven Golden Coins. That;d be sweet. For the bottom screen, I want the menu. Like the coins you've obtained, the levels gon through, and all that jazz.
