Right now the stores are filled with all kinds of different remakes, like Halo: Anniversary, Shadow of the colossus/ ICO remake, and other remakes.
But which game do you think that really deserves to have a remake? Why?

My vote goes to the original Deus Ex. I never played the game, but I hav heard so much praise for the game that I wish to play it, and I would like to play a remake of it which has better graphics and some flaws ironed out.

Dues Ex would certainly be welcome, but I'd love to see a high res version of the original Fallout games. All it would take is new artwork and a bit of audio polish.

I'd agree on the original Deus Ex and Fallout titles... but only if the meat of the games were left completely untouched. I hate remakes that end up being more akin to retellings or reinterpretations, and those are games that I think are more than fine on their own merit.

As for a new contribution... I'd like to see the same treatment for System Shock and System Shock 2. They're both awesome games that I think would benefit quite a bit from a graphical overhaul, especially right now with the popularity of the Bioshock series. I'm all-for reintroducing old classics to new generations of gamers that may not have bothered before a remake due to bad graphics.

Xcom ufo enemy unknown (dont you DARE mention to me the travesty 2k games is doing)
Jagged alliance 2 (looks like i might get my wish)
Stronghold (stronghold 3 came out, but from what i hear its a letdown :\)
Masters of orion 2 (still one of the, if not the 4x space strategy games)

Come on, Lucasarts! We're all waiting! Stop giving us crap, and (re)make the game that we REALLY want!

Damn Iwata you kind of ninja'd me. I was going to suggest Descent: Freespace, but, yea, that is equally a worthy remake.

EDIT: That was one of the best Christmas' ever when I opened one of my presents up and saw that box staring back at me.

Starship Troopers would make a fantastic mech game. It'd be destruction on a massive scale.

Legend of Dragoon. It is the game that got me into RPGs. A remake would be pure JRPG goodness.

If Timesplitter 4 isn't going to be announce soon I would be content with a Timesplitter 2 or 3 remake.

Oh it would be cool if they remake Quake as well.

Oh, no kidding. I was ridiculously disappointed that RE2, RE3, and RE:CVX on GameCube were just straight-up ports.

I absolutely loved REmake for GameCube. Hell, even though the game was a bit of a letdown, I even liked RE:0.

I'm looking forward to this too, I just hope that it doesn't end up feeling like a letdown because of how awesome the fan-made 1.13 patch was for JA2.

None. It would probably have some change of artwork or stupid combat or anything really that would make the game completely different from what I'd remember and then I'd have conflicted feelings about it.

I'd rather studios made new games that are more like the old ones than doing old ones like the new ones.

Ninja'd. Came in to post just that. Well played.

Legend of Dragoon was also a good call.

Super Metroid wouldn't be bad, either (look how awesome Zero Mission was). Just keep it away from Whats-his-name (the guy with the mommy issues who keeps trying to kill the franchise by making it linear and sucky -- see Fusion and Other M)

I'm not sure I'd want to see a remake of any of my favorite games, because I'd likely end up being horribly disappointed.

There's a reason for those games being my "favorites", after all.

Original Deus Ex, with the level of graphical detail and atmosphere of DX:HR, but the same exact gameplay as the original.

Morrowind GOTY in high def, with voice acting, and no hit accuracy dice rolling. Everything else stays intact.

It's kinda been announced. Sorta. Well, Crytek UK is working on it, apparently.

OT: Agree with TS3
And maybe Max Payne? I tried to play, but it won't work anymore on modern computers! It looks awesome.
