alas i've never had a computer powerful enough to run decent games so i've never had a quicksave button... (i will be getting 1 after i move house though...) but on my 360 my fallout saves are well over 300 on my second character...

Dragon Age. The auto saves are random and i once went without saving for an hour's playthrough. Then i died. -.- From then on i press F5 whenever i see a suspicious spot or just finished a large battle.

King's Bounty: The Legend is pretty damn good. except when you overestimate a "weak" enemy that takes half your army and you have to buy/find them all again.

I'm VERY paranoid when playing games so I save in front of every door or possible encounter. I abuse the quick save key in any game that has it.

Any Bioware game. Man, I hit the quicksave button before opening any and every door in their games. If a slight loading lag is detected, my hand flies towards the quicksave button, just in case there's a baddy around that can kill me in one attack. I've come to regard it as poor design (ie trying to implement a turn/segment based system in realtime without much thought), but apparently Bioware knows best and who am I to question what a game Is or Is Not, being a lowly gamer and all.

If one game should've had a quicksave that didn't, it's GTA IV. I just don't play that game anoymore, you have to replay too much when you die. And since it's usually far between occasions that I pick it up, I just never get anywhere (ie I die alot). This despite having played through every GTA game previous, so it's hardly due to inexperience with the gameplay.

Half Life, I literally quicksaved after every beaten enemy.
this one, actually if you think about it its kind of hard without it, most of all when you want to be in the best shape and not crawling trough the rooms with 5% health since the start

Bioshock I had to manually save because autosave didn't work and having the game crash thus sending you back hours because you forgot to save sucks

Half-Life, and Splinter Cell. First time I played those, I practically quick-saved my way through the whole game. I may as well have had a machine gun that shot quick saves.
