Serious Sam, particularly in 2. Blasting your way through the limitless hordes of Mental to reach the end of a setpiece is a feeling unlike any other.

When I landed this I hit pause and said "hell yeah mother fucker"

Mount & Blade when you have 50 troops vs 100 troops and you tell your 50 to stay put and you go running towards the center of the enemy line by yourself with nothing but your horse and a two handed axe taking down 5 dudes every charge.

EvE Online - Taking down anyone in PVP - knowing someone somewhere just said "fuck you" as their ship went pop. Then you add insult to injury and pop their pod. MWAHAHAHA!!!

Mass Effect 1 & 2 - Shep is a pure bad ass

God of War - When the tutorial of the first game has you ripping heads off a giant hydra and sleeping with two naked chicks - it doesn't get more bad ass than that.

Phantasy Star Portable 2...taking down the boss in the lab by yourself...with your entire dead team cheering you on. I did this without healing, while in Defense beast form.

By the way, if you have the demo, PM me/qoute me.

I know its getting dated now but few things have made me feel as badass as in The Punisher. Shoving grenades in peoples mouths, feeding them to woodchippers and torturing them for information was awesome

Also Prototype was badass, especially at the end when you are fully levelled up (surely this isn't a spoiler) where you can elbow drop some poor shmuck from the top of the tallest building

Also Mafia. Is there anything cooler that a 30's mafioso? Didn't think so.

Definitley Halo 3 because you can throw a sticky grenade from a 300 ft distance blow up a fusion coil and send a pilon into an unsuspecting elite.

defently Metal Gear solid peace walker you destroy giant machines
it feels a lot less badass when you are farming these mechs or dragons for stuff, the badassness returns when you can regularly take down gear rex at is final point wearing nothing but a swimsuit, and using nothing but a bandana and an infinite ammo homing rocket launcher, i do that now, so my weapons develop quicker.

FFXI when the rest of my party wipes and it's just me to solo some badass mob that still has 50% hp and I have to pull out all the stops and somehow just barely kill it. I can't help but feel awesome for killing something by myself that killed 5 people who were attacking it at once.
I completely second that, mate. I LOVED being the last person alive in a party. Mostly because I got most EXP and because I was able to keep our camp in that god-forsaken desert xD

Halo 3 on easy is a good example of this since you pretty much never need to take cover. You can just dual wield SMGs and hose down a room full of Brutes.

The Force Unleashed on the Wii. I really love it when I have all my powers upgraded fully and I push my left hand forward and stormtroopers go flying all around.
You have a brilliant avatar.

this one jumped into my mind as well.

i also felt pretty epic in the Dragon Age expansion ... my sword / shield and 2-handed specialist was mowing down darkspawn left and right. and for the record ... The Gift of the Mother is one bad ass weapon.

and of course ... Duke Nukem.

Amen, brother.

Just Cause 2, when I place C4 all over a base, hop on a helo and fly out as I click detonate - the whole thing goes boom and it's fucking beautiful.

I'm a bit biased by my currently playing it, but Metal Gear Solid 3. Strangely enough, I feel more badass playing a guy who needs to use stealth. His facial hair helps.

As of this moment... Mafia 2.

I'm taking a break right now, eating some pizza. Just got into the game for a couple hours.

"Anyone else got a problem with paying the f'ing barber?!"

Ace Combat Zero - You become The Dreaded [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheDreaded].
Ace Combat 4 did that significantly better. Mostly because the English script for ACZ was utter gash. Seriously, it's one of the worst translation jobs of recent history, some of the lines just make no sense, even in context. Even your badass nickname is awkward and clunky.
Truly you are the master of unlocking [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XyghKl72R0], because obviously Ace Combat is the worst thing ever written and worst translation ever.

Sheesh man, looks like someone likes Mobius 1 a little too much. Some of the lines may seem somewhat out of context, well that's because sort of like how War and Pacifism is discussed in AC5, ACZ talks about morality and a soldier thereby [PJ exempt, he got what was coming to him].
It's not that the lines are out of context, it's that the lines are bad. At least in Ace Combat 4 and 5 people sometimes talked like real human beings. Still, at least we hadn't sunk to the depths of dancing with the angels quite yet.

(And don't get me started on the plot... Should have focused on the Belkan War, not bolted on Pixy's little pack of retards at the end, because that really was out of place, badly paced, and generally a bit shit.)
Alright alright I get it, sheesh. Don't have to get all nitpicky.
