Well, Half-life 2 is my favourite game of all time, so of course it'll have a special place in my heart, but because I always bring this up in "your favourite games" threads and I want to nominate something a little more obscure, I'll say Lode Runner 2.

Lode Runner 2 is a 2D-isometric puzzle game(I think, I actually don't really know how to classify it) and it's great fun. I've played through it and the individual levels a multitude of times, as the replayability value is almost endless, due to that you can always do something a little different and get a better time for that particular level. The game also comes with a level editor, which extends the life time of it even further.

So there you have it, it really is a lot of fun.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. I'll admit much of this is nostalgia, but no game has really sucked me in like this game did. The world is not that big but it feels huge due to the sailing (Honestly, didn't mind the sailing for the most part. Once you got the teleport song it was faster to get around.) and the art style was wonderful. I think it holds up visually much better than Twilight Princess and to date is the only Zelda game that I actually really liked.

Fable: The Lost Chapters.

One of my first RPGs and the last decent Fable game ever conceived.

Final Fantasy VIII, I fell in love with it as a kid. Sure, I was a kid and I loved most games, but FFVIII was the best thing in the world to me, so much so that words cannot explain what it felt like when the game crashed on the second disc :(

I finally got it to work again this year, I completed the sh*t out of that game.

It is the only game I will ever truly love.

Silent Hill 2, the combat may be finicky, but otherwise I thought it was a perfect game and it is special to me. When I completed it, it left me wanting to play it again.

Periods, dude. I'm no grammar nazi but I wish people would learn to at least punctuate their posts.
Considering his profile age puts him at around eleven, I'm not surprised about the shit house grammar.
I thought The Escapist didn't allow anyone under the age of 13? For that matter, I think these forums are a bit much for an 11 year old. Not his parent, but...

Anyway, when I was 11 my sentences were shit, but my spelling and punctuation were decent and people could understand what the hell I was saying. Sometimes when I see posts from this OP, I can't get heads or tails of what he's saying.
Oh I wasn't saying it's an excuse, just trying to shed light on the situation.

Also, yes, there is an age limit on the Escapist, or at least I thought there was.
1997-2011=14 i hope your making an obvious joke

Space Invaders.

No really we owe that game a lot....It was the one that made people realise how awesome games can be. Also, although accidental, how increase in difficulty throughout a game is very effective.

It was the first game I ever played and I have much love for it :3

Anarchy Online.

Not the best of games, but it was fun. I love it's complicated elements, endless glitches, unique world, wonderful music, and how it was very original. Was the first MMORPG I ever played. It breaks my heart to see how the population decreases more and more. I can barely find anybody when I run through cities now...

Shadow of the Colossus.

It's probably the only game that I can truly say has replay value for me. I am just fascinated with exploring the huge landscape. It felt like a real world to me. Also, the story is just amazing. I felt so cheated by the end of the game, but only because I felt that the game had won over my emotions. A true masterpiece in every way.

Hmm... good question.

The IL-2 series, the Mechwarrior series and the games in the Total War series up to Empire: Total War have a safe spot in my PC and are never uninstalled. Same goes for the original Dawn of War games.

Going further back, I'd say the first two Sonic games and General Chaos will always be on my mind.

More recently, I do love the Killzone series above all other FPS series. And the Fallout games (all of them except the older spin-off's, Tactics and BoS) will always be my favority RPG's.
