What games do you just love so much that you can't stay away. Year after year you keep coming back and everytime you do, you think about how much you miss this game.

For me, off the top of my head:

- Secret of Mana
- Secret of Evermore (I might like this one better than Mana)
- Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door
- Paper Mario Sticker Star (yes, I really like this game)

I am sure there are more but I can't think of them right now.

Hitman Blood Money

Megaman X

Spyro The Dragon

Tenchu

I wish Mass Effect could be on this list but I just have to commit so much to the series these days. (because you can't stop at 1)I just still don't have the energy to do it again since i did my marathon/First playthrough of ME3 in late 2012-early 2013.

Yeah, I do keep going back to Mass Effect 1 too. I never got too far into ME3 because I never completed ME2 but I have completed ME1 3 or 4 times.

I wonder if this topic would generate more interest if I threw in the word GamerGate.

-Fallout 3
-Skyrim
-Mass Effect 3
-Steambot Chronicles

That's just a short list off the top of my head. Granted, I haven't really been able to play Steambot in a bit with my PS2 disconnected.

It is incredibly rare that I replay games.

Even my most favorite games ever, it is rare that I ever play a game twice and the few that have been played twice I don't think have ever been played through all the way.

However, there is one game. One damn near perfect game that offers up the challenge, variety, and fun that mix perfectly for the tippy2k2 gaming cocktail. It is the only game that I have ever played multiple times (four to be precise). That game is...

Say it with me my soldiers

XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tippy2k2-s-XCOM-Army-Let-s-Play]

I absolutely adore this game. I think I have won once (my second play through on Normal difficulty) but I am in love with this game. The challenge and randomness of this game is what really grabs my attention. I swear, someone must have looked into my brain when developing this game for I feel it is one of the most perfect games for me that has ever existed.

I love tactical RPGs (I really wish more of them would be made for the console). I also love them when they actually punish you for making mistakes and are challenging enough that when those mistakes occur, I feel like it was MY mistake and not the game just F'ing me. Once in a while the RNG God will spit upon me but I have had it go my way just as often. The RNG is a fair God and I should not question His will.

I keep coming back to MGS Rising. I sometimes just go and play a couple of the boss fights on different difficulties for an hour because the mechanics are fun as hell. Platinum still proving that they're still the best in the business at designing these kind of games.

On the multiplayer side, i've been playing League of Legends for at least two years straight (whenever Lulu/Darius came out was when I started seriously) I tried DOTA for a while but the mechanics and overall design of the game irritated me whenever I played more than 1 or 2 games in a row (turn speed!) Also everything in DOTA is OP as fuck but that's beside the point.

Even though League is suffering from some severe mobility creep it's still fun. I'm sure there's a post from Riot that admitted the problem but then they went and released Azir anyway. Seriously whenever they design anything new it has 3 moves unique to the character and some annoying escape dash as the mandatory 4th squeezed in there for no reason.

Playing the new reworked Sion almost exclusively now with an occasional Azir game. The Sion Pain Train has no brakes. Even when it gets easily sidestepped by the entire enemy team (unless one particularly dim witted guy with no boots or Flash gets hit,) he just carries on until he's in the enemy base.

Seriously it looks easy but it's soooooooo slow and it steers like arse.

Already mentioned, but X-Com: Enemy Unknown (and Enemy Within). I just keep coming back to this game over and over again. I think partly because, even when you almost know exactly what's going to happen, it still remains challenging and somewhat unpredictable (since the missions are somewhat randomized).

Skyrim. Every time I think I've had as much fun as I possibly can with this game, I discover a bunch of new mods and just have to try the game with them.

Mirror's Edge. Every time I replay it, I find better ways to navigate, and the DLC is the most perfect DLC to ever exist. Ever.

Dark Souls 1.
The pvp and I simply click. I can just waste away hours, landing parries and taking names. With some occasional pve on the side.

DMC4.
Self explanatory:
I wonder if i'll break past 6,000 hours?...

And I recently just picked up Bayonetta 2. So yeah... i'll be revisiting that every millisecond for the next decade or so.

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic.

Mirror's Edge. (Probably the only game I know of that's much more fun the fifth+ time through than the first.)

Tron 2.0.

FTL.

Skyrim. I just can't stay away. I might only play it for like 10 minutes, but I keep coming back to it.

Minecraft I come back to as well. I just wish more people I knew played it, I would love to set up a server in one of the modpack worlds (FTB, Tekkit, Yogscast Complete, etc) so we can be awesome.

ME1 I love that game so much. The only Mass Effect game that I dislike having to work through is Mass Effect 2. Characters and writing are fantastic, but the gameplay is the worst out of the trilogy.

Metal Gear Solid 3. Its amazing how much new things I discover when playing this game. I recently bought the game for PSVita and I am loving it more than playing it on PS3.

Also, I know Kojima gets a lot of shit (some deserved) here, but I find his attention to detail admirable.
