Metal Gear Solid 2, simply epic.

Title screen intro goes to Wild Arms 1. Something about it I just really enjoy, and in game intro would have to go to Final Fantasy X, the Blitzball tournament and the music that accompanies it are awesome.

Resident Evil: Outbreak's intro is a pure work of art, the music, the filmography, the scene shifts, etc, it's all amazing.


Ghost in the Shell for the PS1 is also pretty fantastic. It was animated by Production IG:

The Wild ARMs openings (both the "anime" intro and the "I let the game sit at the title screen for too long" scene) still get an emotional impact out of me. Especially the idle screen scene.

Also; Chrono Trigger's idle screen thingie is beautiful every single time even if it isn't actually an opening.
