I'm fine with that. But why continue that game instead of make a new IP? Its not like it was overly popular, it just seems like they're too lazy to come up with a new idea. Which is odd, seeing as the Starwars universe is HUGE!lordlee said:Well there IS a reason, money, but that doesn't mean that it can't turn out well anyway. I DO wish they wouldn't just shit out sequels for extra cash, but so long as effort is put into it and it turns out well, there's no reason to complain.pimppeter2 said:Indeed, but why force them?lordlee said:But there's also nothing inherently wrong with sequels.pimppeter2 said:There have never been truer words spoken. Whats wrong with making a good game and going on to a different IP? Especially games that have no reason to be continued. (story wise).
I'm not saying they should stop making sequels to games like Assassins Creed, but for things like The Force Unleashed, there is no reason to continue it. Just make a different Star Wars game.

They should have done System Shock 3 instead of the new bioshock. New Elder Scrolls. They just need to get a team to work on the combat.Furburt said:I want a System Shock 3, and a Full throttle 2.
And please, no more Guitar Hero, please..
I guess that's a factor in it. But why continue a franchise that isn't that successful and better yet doesn't even set up for a sequel!HUBILUB said:There have been some new IP's.
Brütal Legend and Mirrors Edge for example.
Their sales... disappointed.
I want more original games, but they don't make as much money as sequels to popular franchises.
They're not too lazy, they're too scared.
True enough. While I'd like to see a sequel for say, portal, that doesn't mean it needs one. Games like that can be perfectly well as stand alone titles.TheNamlessGuy said:Nothing needs a sequel.
