The thought occured to me when I saw Guardians of the Galaxy. Loved it, thought it was completely awesome. It's pretty much a given that Marvel films are for the most part, pretty great.

But it got me thinking, when will Marvel release a good game again? We haven't really had a truly great release that wasn't a Spiderman game.

With DC we've had the Arkham series which for the most part has had widespread critical acclaim, but Marvel seems to be lacking in that department.

I really want to see a decent game for Guardians of the Galaxy, maybe not something linked directly to the movie, but something based in the same world...

What Marvel game would you like to see?

Also, let me know if there is some crazy awesome Marvel game that I don't know about yet...

there was a game years back called "freedom force"
turn based RPG with super heroes is how i remember it, marvel already has pretty much every super power you can think of just a matter of bringing it together.

Its kind of cheating, but i'd like to see an Avengers game. you could have a big, open-world city, and be able to switch between various members of the Avengers (maybe choose a starting character and unlock more along the way). You could fly/run/swing across the city, stopping random crimes in progress, and each character would have their own special abilities, and control very differently to each other.

If we're going for just single heroes, i would kind of like a Fantastic Four game (again, more than one hero, but i really like teams)

Another idea i think would be really cool (but probably impossible to actually do) is a game with a superhero (i.e Spiderman), and the story follows the entire history of the character, from the history, to the most important/famous story arcs, all the way up to now. in reality, it would probably be too long and too complicated and unstructured to actually make, but i think it would be kind of cool.

Ultimate Alliance 3 and X-Men Legends 3

Make the gameplay decent enough, but spare no expense on big, cool rosters with all my favorite characters interacting and fighting side by side :)~

What? There's nothing wrong with just wanting to indulge in a fandom every now and again! xD

I do not want a Guardians game. Why? Because the movie was perfect, and I do not want anything to muddy the water between Guardians 1 and 2. There is no way any game could come close, plus you would have to license music, and I prefer to find out what is on Awesome Mix #2 in the sequel. I would, however, love another Hulk game. For all their shortcomings, I really enjoyed the last two Hulk games. I also really liked the Freedom Force games, but they would only go cheap on a game like that.

A good spiderman game. One that features the entire spider clan.

Also, Ultimate Alliance 3 based on Avengers versus X-Men and a good Iron Man game if that's possible.

I would like for Disney to stop being so obnoxious and re-up their agreements with Capcom. Then they would insist on actually competent employees being put in charge for Marvel vs. Capcom 4.

IMO Marvel has better comics and better movies but DC has better games and better cartoons and that's pretty much just the way they operate so they aren't stepping on eachothers toes so much. (They still take pot shots so it's still competitive but honestly they usually feel half assed)

If marvel were to make a truly good fully developed game though I think it would be cool if they did a iron man rpg that featured highly customizable armors somewhat like the armored core series, an open world like the spider man series, and a strong plot like the arkham series.

Ultimate Alliance 3 and X-men Legends 3. Those games were great and I have some fond memories playing them. I need to see them again.

I'd like another Ultimate Spider Man Game as well. That was a total blast.

Yeah this is pretty much what I want as well. I really really wanted Psylocke in MVC3 or UMVC3 but unfortunately it was not to be and I was pretty gutted considering shes my favourite comic book character ever and one of my favourite characters since I was a kid. I was tempted to get Deadpool as it had Rogue, Domino and Psylocke in which are my favourite 3 female Xmen but unfortunately they were sidelined and Apocalypse wasnt the villain either so more negative points on my scale there.

Yeah anyway MVC4 with Psylocke would be insta purchase for me.

I'd partially attribute it to Marvel's odd focus on teamups. I'd swear every MArvel game I've played insisted on having 5 (or more) playable characters, and that's an incredible pain to make gameplay out of (without diluting most of them into samey-cloney abilities like Ultimate Alliance did).

Although DC is surprisingly disappointing with its efforts really. Their main success is Batman, who is just a guy with gadgets (not terribly moreso then any Assassins Creed protagonist). With all the powers Superman has, or the sheer variability Green Lantern has, etc, you'd think they could manage to make some unique games out of them.

I'd like to see a XCOM like Avengers game, instead of making a team of random people you recruit Marvel Heroes and level them up on missions while fighting a bigger plot and when a character dies they are dead.

An Iron Man game that plays as well as or better than the Iron Man mod for GTAIV. I spent hours just flying around the city, occasionally stopping to blow shit up. Not enough games let you fly.

Or let you make your own character and set it in the Marvel universe. That'd be cool. Sort of like DC Universe Online, minus all the MMO bullshit that comes with that genre. I could fly in that game...
I'm kind of imagining something like Fallout meets X-men from that.

I thought Wolverine hack and slash was pretty good!
Otherwise I want a Daredevil game. In the morning, we'd be doing investigation and at night it's punching and kicking. That'd be fun.

A Black Widow game would work great as a martial arts/TPS hybrid. Something like Deadpool comes to mind, only better and with a female character.

Some more of that nice free-roaming destruction like in the previous Hulk games would be very welcome indeed. Of course, it's kinda lazy to ask for a complete rehash, but it's the Hulk! It's got to be entertaining no matter what the formula!

A new Punisher game based on something G.Ennis wrote and having T.Jane as voice actor again. I like the former game so much i would even pay for a remake with updated graphics.

Ultimate Spiderman was neat but with what happened in the comics i doubt we will see another. Not that it wouldn't be possible but i guess it would be irritating for alot of folks not aware of the recent events in ultimate Spiderman.

Daredevil-the hearing experience adventure in black without white. Seriously i could imagine a mix between Spiderman and the latest Telltale stuff.
