An open world rpg, preferably with Zombies and/or the apocalypse ^/^

As for how I'd look? Essentially think of a curly, red-haired, pear-shaped version of Rocket from Sucker Punch. ^/^' Including her Knife, UMP45 and her kick ass flintlocks!

i would live in a middle earth esque fantasy world where i am a cloaked forest elf ranger. i would use a bow and traditional elven shortswords as my weapons.

as for how i play, i'd say my alignment would be neutral good. i stand for whats good, and there are those cases where you must be unlawful to do that, even though thats usually not the case. i'd probably live most of my life traveling with some companions through dangerous forests and treacherous mountains, being a scout and spy of the house i belong to.

so my answer: hands down a MASSIVE open world RPG where i can do anything i want.

Fire Emblem, Druid.
For those of you who don't know Fire Emblem, its a strategy game, and Druids are the second tier dark magicians.

I look like this, I have a long oak-brown beard, a shaved head, and runic tattoos covering my body. My body is also really lean, but not skeletal like most magi; I try to keep myself fit, but only because my body is a weapon, and I must keep it in good condition.
I walk around with a Luna tome, Nosferatu tome, and Gespenst.
I walk into the heart of the enemy with my Nosferatu at the ready, find the leader, destroy him with Luna (if he has resistance), or Gespenst (if my crit is high enough).

UUUUUU interesting.

Me, a fantasy RPG with a first person perspective.
I am an Elf with red eyes and blueish-graish skin ;)
Sorry, I couldn't resist, I would LOVE to be in an Oblivion type world.

I'd like to be in a JRPG, I think.

I'd probably look like myself, but with cooler clothes. So basically, a red-headed girl with a pixie cut dressed in... hm...

I figure a world with healers that can bring you back from the dead is a good world to be stuck in.

I'd like to end up in some sort of JRPG. Full of magic, crazy armor and weapons that really shouldn't even exist but do anyway. Something like the Tales series. Free choice with branching storylines and multiple endings would be nice.

Oh and gimme some of that sim date element. I don't want to be paired with some annoying blonde that goes on and on about friendship. GIMME CHOICES DAMMIT.

As for looks? I'd probably want to go for something like this. [http://i53.tinypic.com/dewe80.jpg] Admit it. You want to look that cool.

I think JRPGs have the best worlds to live in. The total beauty and innocence of its inhabitants really make me feel like I'm in heaven.

No matter the genre, I'd want somewhere with an afterlife, or a reliable revival system, as I am bound to die a ton of times. Probably a JPRG, but an absurd one that doesn't take itself seriously where everything is over the top? Is that a game? I want to play it, if not I'm totally making it.

So here's the scenario
You've been dropped into the magical world of videogames, you have one chance, AND ONLY ONE, to choose which genre you've landed in. What genre is it?
For bonus points, what do you look like in this game world, and how do you play

In my case, it'd be some form of sci-fi third-person malarky with DMC-style controls. Slap on some futuristic eyewear, a long coat, and release me onto the hordes of amusingly squishy aliens that i'm about to make extremely open minded...by opening their skulls...with bullets
also, some form of future melee weapon would be nice, a vibro-blade or something with a monomolecular edge, none of that lightsaber bollocks
I do believe my life is an MMO. But if I could choose I think something like the SIMs, they seem to live a pretty nice life :D

The genre I choose is beach volley ball, jetski racing, casino dating sims and the way I choose to play is relaxing on a beach.

I was gonna sway a hack n'slash but the worlds in those games are all destroyed cities and caves, so I'm gonna say a JRPG because the world are pretty and I still get to wield gain impractical weapons with the greatest of ease.

Not my favorite genre but probably in some hentai game. With no tentacles/underage girls/raping...

Seriously probably some generic medival fantasy RPG.

Hm it's hard to say. When playing games I spend an inordinate amount of time in cities, more than I usually have to.

For example in Oblivion an overwhelming majority of my time is spent either inside cities or traveling to and from different cities, I only to to different dungeons when it's required by the plot or a quest or when I want something specific like the Umbra sword. I suppose I prefer the relative safety of the inside of towns and cities. It's the same in Morrowind or even Legend of Zelda I spend more time in towns just goofing off then I really have any right to.

So if I could choose any game genre it would probably be some sort of simulation game set in a fantasy or sci-fi world like Recettear or Rune Factory.

I'd probably look like me but with period appropriate clothing and vision good enough so I wouldn't have to wear glasses.

Also I'd really love to live in a huge sprawling sci-fi city, probably in a an upper story apartment style suite. Two bedrooms, a kitchen, all the futuristic amenities, a wall sized TV, and a balcony with good view of the city from 30 or 40 floors up. Nothing too special.
Just putting it out there.

Combat-flight sim genre. Partially just to be different to everyone else, but i've always felt an affinity with combat flight-sims as i've always liked them, love the IL2 Sturmovik games. I've always liked the idea of flying (not necessarily flying IRL funnily enough) plus piloting and operating some pretty cool machinery.

Alternatively, perhaps a sci-fi RPG? Something like EVE online were you can build your own space-ship. I'd be a space-pirate and go around hoarding loot and build myself a pimped up-vessel and visit some interesting places without any regard for the law.
