What game had the BEST graphics of 2008?

What game do you think had the best graphics of all the games of 2008?

I know on websites like Gamespot and IGN they believed that Metal gear solid 4 had the best, but i don't think thats true in my opinion Fallout 4 had some pretty amazing graphics in HD anyway. Also games like Fifa 09 had some superb graphics. What do you think?

Well, I only have the 360, but my vote would have to be GTA IV. I just thought that it was an amazing looking game. The enviroments, weather effects, and character models were just superb.

Personally as i'd agree with IGN, ive never seen people in games as good as MGS4, especially the b and b corps, when they get out of their robot suits and are all shiny lol

Fallout 4 has maybe decent graphics for a 2015 game. Crysis 2 looks so much better...

I think Fallout 5's graphics were better.

Edge voted LittleBigPlanet. The textures are amazing.
I enjoyed Mirror's Edge graphics but that might be more the style.
I own, but haven't played Fallout 3 yet, everyone is going mad for that game so popularity says it's a contender.

Crysis had the "best" graphics but not necissarily my favorite. I probably enjoyed the artwork in Braid more.

I forgot about Gears 2! The graphics in that game are also excellant.

I would go with either Crysis or Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare. Just cuz Crysis was nice if you had the rig and COD 4 is extremely photo realistic.

Artistically though I would probably go with WoW : WotLK. Just cuz the Warcraft design team does an amazing job of creating environments that seem so fantastical and Beautiful. If the game had better graphics it would probably be the most immersive world ever.

Uuhmm, I didn't play that many games in 08 actually, on PC I'd say either Fallout 3 or Far Cry 2 (Far Cry 2 had better looking faces and the jungle looked great).

As for consoles, I really don't know.

I can't belive no one's mentioned Dead Space yet, that game was just incredible looking. Technically outstanding with terrifyingly immersive art design, even if it got a little repetitive at points.
