Torchlight's soundtrack mixes very well with the game itself, but as a standalone soundtrack, Metal Gear Solid has an awesome one.

Gears of War wouldn't of been nearly as good without the exciting, tension raising soundtrack that it had.


Skip to 1:48 for this the House of Soveriegns one. That's where it gets really good.


Dragon Age had a pretty epic soundtrack, too.

Okay, so how has Nier not been mentioned yet? Even most people who hate the game admit the soundtrack is great.

Sure, the lyrics are unintelligible (not even sure they're in an actual language), but the sound is amazing.

Aside from that, just about any game where the music was done by Yasunori Mitsuda or Nobuo Uematsu.

The majority of gaming music I adore comes courtesy of Nintendo. Metroid, Mario (SMG in particular),Pokemon and Zelda all have awesome music. Few exceptions though. Gotta love the "Train Ride to Hell" music from Gears of War. And then there's Castle Crashers, damn that game had addicting music.

I'm going to be completely honest here, other than the soundtrack for Ocarina of Time, I haven't found one game soundtrack I like.

Maybe it's because I'm picky about music? I don't know, but if anyone finds a game soundtrack that is punk rock themed, please tell me.
