Oddly enough, the Castlevania series has some staying power in game soundtracks. The Final Fantasy series was good for having a variety of themes as well. And the Mario theme haunts your dreams no matter what.
Glad someone else brought up Wind Waker.colonel_alzheimers said:LoZ: The Wind Waker. I know what you mean when you say some game music is not beautiful, and let me tell you, this music is BEAUTIFUL.
RDR also has a great soundtrack, but I might just be saying that because I got it as a preorder bonus. :3

Haven't heard it?
What other game's music when you listen to it you don't say "thats funny!" or "THAT IS FREAKING AWESOME!" but "wow... that is... gorgeous"?
My god...so nostalgic. I remember levelling there in the 60 cap days when I was just a noob.Sterling|D-Reaver said:I really like the Halo series soundtracks and Dragon Age is definitely high on the list.

I have to agree. I think that the music fit the atmosphere and themes so well that I can't imagine the game without it. Best soundtrack hands down.frago roc said:
