What game music should my orchestra play? YOU decide!

Cosmo Canyon, FF7 has always been one of my favourite songs. That song from LittleBigPlanet, called Get It Together. Both aren't the best for an orchestra, but would be fun

Pretty much any song from Final Fantasy games. I don't even particularly like Final Fantasy and I recognize nothing can beat their orchestrals. Though no offense to your school orchestra, they'd probably not be able to pull off Final Fantasy music well.

One-Winged Angel comes to mind. Also the opening theme to Oblivion.

If by "write" you mean "steal from Samuel Barber and Bernard Herrmann like Vanilla Ice ripping off Queen" and by "effective" you mean "fucking terrible and immediately forgotten," then yes.
