What game or games are nostalgic for you?

Earthbound. So nostalgic in fact, I don't want to play it again lest I ruin the nostalgia.

I also remembered Chuckie Egg and Granny's Garden, which were the first games I ever played. I get nostalgic for Doom since I like looking back on those 6th form days through rose tinted glasses, but it's the ones on the really crap, old machines that had less memory than a modern wristwatch that are the stuff of misty eyes.

When you get to my age, anything with the word "PlayStation" in it is NOT retro, and never will be. Retro is 8 bit colours and god awful plinky-plonky midi files.

Pokemon for me. I recently bought Pokemon Black and my whole team is made up of old Pokemon my friend Bred for me. Haunter, Raichu, Blastoise, Charizard, Dragonite and Emboar. Yeah, you've got to keep your starter haven't you.


It got crazy after 151!

Oblivion is somehow both nostalgic and cutting edge for me. There's a reason i've clocked 1k hours on it.

No shame in that.
Mostly any games on the Genesis make me all nostalgic.
Things like Sonic, or Bart's Nightmare. (Yes, really.)

Final Fantasy 7, always reminds me back when i used to live in Japan... Also Doom and Mafia, used to play them when i was 10 all the time

Crap, there's so many to pick from, I'm gonna go with an unusual one and say MGS4 - that game deliberately played with you sucking on its nostalgia dick.

For the sake of this thread, though: Doom, the original GTA, Out of this World/Another World, Ocarina of Time and, naturally, Monkey Island.
