As some of you know, I have been doing some work with let's plays recently, but I want to move from the Fallout 3 LP I've been doing, partially due to how terrible it started, and partially because it burned me out on FO3 for a while. I may want to continue it later on, but I want something new and (relatively) not heavily-LP'd.

In short, what games/ types of games do you want to see played that have been relatively underrepresented? Both games that you might like to see me do, or just see done in general.

im doing GTA IV atm, it's fun and random, which makes for entertaining gameplay, but it isn't exactly new i guess

you could try PAYDAY: The Heist, that's kinda new and not done a lot really, be warned though, it's hard to do with the AI, so MP is your best bet

maybe Stronghold 3?

If you're asking people what game to LP, it's probably not going to be a good LP. You shouldn't LP a game just for the sake of doing one.

I'm doing let's plays because I enjoy doing them (and I enjoy entertaining people) and it helps me to train my voice. I am asking for suggestions because I would like to try doing a game that the community would find appealing so that I have the opportunity to entertain more people.

I wouldn't count that as 'for the sake of doing one,' though you may disagree with that.

EDIT: I do apologize if that sounded insulting. My intent was only to explain why I was asking for advice.
On a side note, I recently started your Dwarf Fortress let's play and am enjoying it so far.

Don't LP games to get internet fame, or any crap like that. If you actually enjoy making LPs who cares how many people watch them. When you pick a game to LP you should pick a game that you like, that you want to show off.

I'm not after internet fame or anything (god, no), but I do want to entertain people and to work on LPs. I'm an actor in real life, and I love to entertain. My big reason for asking for requests on a game is to (possibly) better entertain and to foster the 'Let's' part of Let's Play.

But yeah, internet 'fame' holds no importance to me. Sorry if any of this seemed to imply I was just after pageviews.

Fair enough, but in my view a game that you know and love will turn out as a better LP that some random game your fans want you to play. The choice of a game might bring in more people but if the content is lacking they won't stay. When you have a passion for the game it just turns out so much better.

I'm not disputing that, though I had been hoping to receive some input. I suppose I will be going with my plan B: try filming a pilot episode of several games I love and was considering and seeing what works out.

Thanks for being supportive though, and not being dismissive straight off the bat :)

I understand what you mean, and don't worry you're not being insulting. There's nothing wrong with wanting to do an LP. However, that alone isn't usually enough for an LP to turn out good. You need to be passionate about the game you're playing. That can passions can be for a huge number of different reasons, but the point is that you need a strong connection to the game. If you don't have that, you probably won't be to interested in it and therefore won't make a really interesting LP. Asking people to pitch a game seems like it would result in you playing a game you don't really care about that much. Especially if you got burnt out on your last LP.

So what I would recommend is just wait until you think of a game you have strong feelings towards and want to show off. Maybe look through some of your old games for something you played a while back and have fond memories of.
