Star wars republic commando needed a sequel and do Does battlefront II.
And Kotor III.
Anyone who doesn't believe Star Wars Republic Commando deserves a real sequel has no taste in gaming. Personally I think George Lucas should make all the terrible books that followed it non-cannon and give the original developers freedom to continue the story as they please from where it was left off.... I want to save Sev :(

WHO'S WITH ME?!?!?!?

P.S. For anyone who doesnt know the Republic Commando books suck as they make Delta Squad look bad and some group of losers known as Omega Squad look like badasses (and change a lot of canon from the game, I liked my game clone observer better than the book jedi one) .... plus Sev is officially declared dead.

P.S.S. Freedom Fighters also deserves a sequel for being such an awsome game.
Can you explain the appeal of Republic Commando? I played it but found it a pretty generic FPS. I gave it away after a half dozen missions, did it suddenly get awesome halfway though or something?

It's more of a star wars fan thing for myself to be honest. It did a good job of portraying the star wars universe from the point of a soldier fighting on the ground and not some idealized jedi or something. People into Star Wars games will respect it for its darker portrayal of war and everything. Ultimately it comes down to if you appreciate things like that, if you do you'll have more respect for what this game does. However people not into Star Wars or who completely hate the pre-quel may not like this game for obvious reasons. To sum it up it has less to do with gameplay but more with how dark and distant from star wars everything becomes as time advances.

P.S.: Did you get to the infiltration of the republic cruiser?

We NEED Suikoden 6 already. Getting ridiculous now.
Little King's Story 2 would be great aswell. Although very doubtful.
Blast Corps 2 or a remake would be awesome.

Metal Gear 1(not metal gear solid), Final Fantasy VII(in HD), Chrono Trigger(in 3d), Modern Warfare 2 lol
I thought Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was a sequel to Metal Gear.... am I horribly mistaken?

I think that Half-Life: Episode 2 could really use a sequel....

Silent Hill [1] remake would be nice.
Though by remake I don't mean 're-imagining' or 'new take on the scenario', I mean take the old game, update the graphics, and re-release it. Don't change the story, the progression, not even the controls.

How about Master of Magic? Strategic X-COM? How about another Might & Magic in the open style of 6? Final Fantasy Tactics 2?

Ubisoft needs to release a sequel for the 2008 Prince of Persia.
Or redo it without fucking up the ending.
Yeah but then it would be rebooting a reboot and that would just send it into a state of pure paradox.

I didn't like the prequels, so that does explain a lot. To be honest I can't remember how far I got, maybe the third chapter or so? I remember uninstalling it and playing Ghost Recon the same day though. Then about a week later I recall coming up for air.

Oh back on Topic I'd like a remake/graphical updated Ghost Recon and expansion packs, but retain the gameplay. None of this Advanced Warfighter shit.

As someone who himself prefered the original trilogy to the pre-quel I thought Republic Commando felt like a different experience from either of them, it was a dark journey through the grittier parts of star wars warfare. From blood getting on your visor and awesome scripted hand-to-hand fighting between your squad and enemies that was pretty damn brutal for star wars. It's more of a deconstruction of star wars in some regards. No stupid jedi, no sith, just regular soldiers from both sides and how personal the war was for them. The gameplay is solid but not what you'll appreciate about the game. It's very understandable why people find it generic, because it is. Still not a bad game to try if your a big star wars fan, and its certainly the best star wars based fps I've ever tried (do you possibly know of any yourself that can be recommended? I swear this is one of the only ones I have ever found).

PS: Are you refering to the Ghost Recon that takes place in Georgia? Because I swear I thought the world was going to have a real-life inactment of the game when Russia really did invade Georgia.

Battlezone 2. For those who are unaware, it was an FPS with emphasis on vehicles. It was also a complete RTS game.

Xenogears

Though not as much as a remake as a completion. If they'd completed their original vision, that game would have been perfect.
Read my mind. I'd reallllly like to see more Xenogears, because the original is tied for my favorite RPG of all time. They already have such an amazing foundation in terms of characters, setting, and combat mechanics. An updated mech and combat system, with the old cast of characters + a few new ones and I'd be in heaven.

There was a lot of unanswered questions, not to mention plenty of ways to revive the story.

I'd kill for a Xenogears 2. Also a Legend of Legaia 2 would be pretty sweet. It was just so original that I think they could expand the hell out of it with a sequel.
