What game that never got made, would you really like to play

Mirror's Edge 2, although hopefully it'll get made in the next few years.

The original had some of the most beautiful graphics I've ever seen in a game, and if the sequel sorts out its clunky gameplay, it would be absolutely amazing.

Oh, and also Civ III, but letting you colonise other worlds & play against aliens.

It was about playing a space pirate and it was supposed to have seamless switching between Freespace/Colony Wars like Space Combat and First-Person-Shooter Gameplay. First Screenshots looked pretty nice for it's time to, but i was mainly hyped about a SCS/FPS Hybrid that actually worked.

Absolutely this. The only reason why the producer wouldn't have thrown truckload after truckload of money at the deveoper to get this done is because the world (or CPU) isn't ready for this much awesomeness.
