What game to complete the story mode for

I must speak up for an underrated game... but I'd recommend Cursed Mountain. It's a unique little game that you could knock out quickly, and different enough from other games that it would be a very good palette cleanser between what you just played and what you would play next. I found the story quite intriguing and definitely different from most of the other games I've played. (Really fascinating Buddhist stuff, fer example)

Then go play the sh*t out of Dragon Age: Origins on the PC. Just... do it.

By popular recommendation, I finished singularity. While the shooting was rather boring, the story was a decent take on time-travel.

Why isn't killing Demichev while I'm carrying him on my back in the fire an option? I guess it would make the entire game pointless

I felt Team Fortress 2 had told a wonderful story; well-paced and thoroughly thought out. I especially enjoyed the subtle, social commentary placed in the rivalry between the Engineer and the Spy.

What happens when you take a man, for all his life reliant on the luxuries of modern technology, and then take it away? What remains? How can he hope to retain such marvels from the hands of his terrorist-spy rivals without the subterfuge-hunting aid called "spy-checks" provided by the government, represented here by the "Pyro" class; himself being a subtle parody of our current capitalist system: always wanting to "get in close and burn the problem away" only to get himself "killed" due running into the problem head-on without consulting his political comrades.

Riveting stuff...

Man, is that the side quest or something? Right now I'm playing through some segment about the Heavy's coming of age and his struggle against the oppression of "medic" addiction. I almost cried at the part where he gives he sandvich to the lowly street urchin known as "Scout" who passed him everyday in the halls of 2Fort.

The only Metriod Prime in the trilogy with an actual story is Corruption. The original is also very fun, but lacking in any real meaningful story.

As for Echoes? If you ask me, it just plain sucks. Gameplay is pretty much the same as 1, but now you need ammo for every beam except your standard one, you must go back and forth between a light and dark version of the planet you're saving, and you lose health if you stay in the dark realm and you're not in a "safe zone."

So,
Prime: Fun, but lacking story
Echoes: A few drawbacks that turned me off, but don't let that discourage you, try it anyway
Corruption: Fun as hell, decent story

PS. Also, please please PLEASE, if you do play Etroid-may: Other-may, DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE STORY. It completely ruins the character of Samus.

Deus Ex, Nier, Dragon Age Origins are my favs of the games listed.

Nier is rather odd because to get the most of it, you need to play the second half of the game a second time after you beat it the first time.

If there are truly great games or classics in video games, I would consider Deus Ex to be one of them.

Dragon Age Origins I think is the best title overall by Bioware. (and Yes I played Baldur's Gate 2 for the PC but I found it very boring. I don't thinl I ever beat it. I have played other older RPGs such as Planescape: Torment, Fallout and Arcanum which I liked so it isn't the age of Baldur's Gate 2 that makes it boring to me. However, Dragon AGe isn't my favorite game by Bioware. My favorite would be Jade Empire even though it is probably one of Bioware's worse games, I just love the setting compared to the other Bioware games... )

By popular demand, I finished Dragon Age: Origins. Some B.S. bosses (hate the spider queen with a passion), but had some pretty good conversation pieces/decisions to make. Overall, good game, albeit a bit drawn out in my opinion.

If you've got a mate handy, I'd say you could fly through Dead Space extraction in an afternoon. It's a fun little piece which adds some background to the established mythos of the series.

Eternal Darkness is definitely an interesting game with an OK plot, but the insanity effects are what really make this one.

And for a final suggestion, I'd say jump into Silent Hill. Doesn't quite measure up to the first two, but if you like the series it certainly wont disappoint.

Half Life 2: Episode 1 is quite damn good, and fairly short. I'd say play that. Then L.A Noire.

I would say Fallout 3. That game is so much fun.

If you want for story i realy recomend Deus Ex, it may be old and gameplay wise it may not be the best realy of the games you had. But if you play for the story its most exelent, different endings depending on the choices you made during the game. Thinking of how old it is i would say its the first realy imersive story game i played and story wise i compare it to games like dragon age and mass effect.

If you wanna play something intresting play the stalker series, tho patch them up to latest patches because they are glitchy and buggy as hell. Notch the difficulty setting abit over what your used to and you will have a true survival shooter. Enemies and monster can drop you down almost instantly if your not carefull, medkits and ammo is scarce and your basicly forced to start gunning down small independent groupes of NPCs to stock up supplies for your own survival. The story itself is all shrouded in mystery, but that just adds to the setting of the game wich is what makes it so great. If you like post apolyctic games where there are more questions then answers, the stalker series is for you.

That strider fight at the end was kinda BS.

I have EP2, however I want to play something between that. I'm thinking Deus Ex, however I think I had some trouble with it running in widescreen.
