Super Mario 64. At this point I know that game inside and out.

Also Bomberman. I am awesome at Bomberman.

EDIT: And TF2. I can't believe I forgot that one.

PLAY MOAR

I also have 18000+ manual saves.

Fallout 3 was so shitty in comparison to Oblivion that I had to force myself to play it, knowing that the rest of the world expected me, the ultimate Oblivion fan to like it. Which I did not, as it was merely a game that held my interest for a mere 50 hours.

You need to memorize the exact layout of every town in Oblivion, down to the locations of books on the bookshelves. You need to know how to pick the hardest locks without breaking a lockpick even with a minimum lockpicking skill. Side note: Fuck the Skeleton Key after you get good enough at it.

You also should know that I'm deathly afraid of undead dungeon in Oblivion due to the fleshy walking sounds of the zombies.

Back in the day, undoubtedly Super Mario 64. Shortcuts, new and inventive ways to get stars, silly tricks and whatnot, it was pretty much all I played for quite a while.

After that, any of the Tony Hawk things before they started shoehorning in the bollocksy storylines. THPS2 would be my favourite.

These days, I guess Guitar Hero or Rock Band... though I've spent enough time on Scorehero to have my concept of what is 'good' at those games successfully warped beyond recognition.

Yep. Also, remember that archers suck since leveled arrows are not plentiful and half of your damage comes from the arrow. They work fine at low levels though, but nothing screams power like a mage. Dear god, my spells rocked...I need to make a new mage, mine's already level 25...

I usually fare above average in shooters but I am master of the battlefield in Call of Duty 2, which lead to my time in clans. Unfortunatly clan matches were never just team deathmatch so my rifle skills were used to usually protect the goal from the enemy or the flag, but I also tended to go for it more which was useful.

Also in SF4 I enjoy putting down Kens and Akumas as Sagat though recently I seem to only find the good players and have been losing more. Lets just say I am not so cocky in that game anymore.

Foreword,

I am not one to brag, usually, I just am obliged to by this thread. On to the bragging!

I have two of these games, and they are as follows

The first is/are the Sly Cooper games, a cel-shaded gem of a PS2 game made by Suckerpunch studios (Who are currently working of Infamous) I am an elite master of stealth in that game to the point where I have completed that game all the way through without dieing or failing a mission once. This may seem like a wholly unneccesary waste of time on one game, but those was the only PS2 game I had for an extended period of time.

the second game/games are the Metroid series. All of them. From the original Metroid, to Metroid pinball, to hunters, to Prime. Especially prime. This is another one of those games I have played all the way through without dieing once, and have beaten on the higher difficulty. Not, mind, at the same time. None of my friends even question my infalliable ability to conquer anything the game can throw at me as previously stated: without batting an eyelid.

P.S. As a side note, what happened with metroid prime 3: Corruption was awful. They introduced people that you can interact with. the most intense attribute of the Metroid Atmosphere was the feeling of being alone. it was also collosally easy, even in hyper mode. Never died.

I used to be a godlike sniper in both Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4.
I'm still good at Team Fortress 2, but I suck at Call of Duty 4.

I have never been mind blowingly good at any game really, if i were i probably got bored and played a new game i wasn't so good at. as long as I'm having FUN I don't actually care if I'm master of the game universe.

As soon as I got good enough at COD4 online that people were asking me to join their clan I knew it was time to play less COD and write more economics papers, because my grades were starting to slip.

Tribes (Renegades Mod). Also, Mechwarrior 4, though my "fame" in that game was mostly on the design side of the house

Despite my love of video games I'm not actually very good at them. I have no shame in sticking to normal difficulty on most games. I guess I'm decent at Heroes of Might and Magic III. I also, usually, am pretty quick with point and click adventure but it would be stupid for me to say I'm 'good' at them.

Well, they work fine, but just don't have as much potential as the other types of combat...a 6x stealth bonus usually defeats a mere 3x, unless combined with a really good poison, but you could have just used the poison on the melee weapon instead. Mages don't get stealth bonuses, but instead get the power to decimate foes completely. Oblivion's skill leveling system allows you to get good at anything, with the only real problem being your magicka cap unless you are a Breton or High Elf.
