Uncharted is a movie. Its called Indiana Jones. Or Tomb Raider. Or anything slightly about adventure. I honestly can't see the appeal of making it into a movie, but I also couldn't see the appeal of it as a game either.

For me? I don't really know about games becoming movies, very few of them are any good. Mass Effect would be awesome if you gave it to someone like James Cameron and made it like 4 hours long.

- Crysis (the protagonists being both Nomad and Psycho, each one given equal importance)
- FEAR (the original, not the sequel)
- Hitman (done right)
- Garry's Mod (yeah I went there)
- Thief
- Shogo: Mobile Armor Division
- Half-life
- Cal of Duty (just like the games, showing the plot through the eyes of more than one protagonist)
- Max Payne (done right)
Garry's Mod has already been done: http://litfusefilms.com/movies/waroftheservers/

For me, a movie set in the Half-Life universe would be great, especially since Valve is being very picky about it(They've been sent scripts, and rejected them all because they sucked), so you know that if it happens it'll probably be good.

Super Mario Bros!
Silent Hill!
Resident Evil!
Double Dragon!
Street Fighter!
Alone in the Dark!
House of the Dead!

These would make great movies!

EDIT: ooh ooh I have more! What about Hitman? Max Payne? Postal? Resident Evil 2? Tomb Raider? Dead or Alive? Doom? Wing Commander? Bloodrayne? These would *all* make great movies!
silent hill that may be good.
Resident evil: already done. a trilogy. personally i liked them but everyone else hates them.
Double Dragon: Already done don't search for it. it was bollocks. trust me
Street fighter: 2 movies already mad plus several anime movies. i hated the first movie but it has become a cult classic for some reason. never saw the legend of chunli.
Alone in the dark. idk
house of the dead: did they make that?
God of war would be a good movie and perhaps.
and for future referance before anyone says it, final fantasy move was crap.(i enjoyed it at the time though)and advent children was pretty much a fan movie but it lacked substance
The guy was making a joke, all the movies he mentioned have been made into movies and sucked. And yeh, they made Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark and House of the dead, they all sucked. Silent Hill was for the fanboys, with Pyramid head just randomly strolling about, Alone in the dark was just plain terrible and House of the dead (never seen it myself) looks even worse than Resident Evil, and I didn't like them.

Hm... Max Payne would be a cool movie. Too bad no one made one yet. NO ONE!

Some games really would be a nice movie... but there are some complications, mostly in (with) the minds of the writers/producers. (These "small changes" which ruin everything) - For example Doom weren't really half-bad (there was not that much to destroy... but then: DAMN EVIL GENES? i want f****** demons)

There is a mario brother movie and a street fighter movie. Both fairly old.
Haha. Classic. Is he joking? I can't tell. I'm going to give PAG the benefit of the doubt and assume he is.

OT: None, ever. Turning games into movies is going in reverse.

Ever read a novelization of a movie that was an original screenplay? It sucked, didn't it, even if the movie was good? Same principle.

Chrono Trigger
Let's face it, this game can't stand on it's own on just how it played. The only reason I finished it was for the story.

Super Metroid
I've always pictured someone doing this as an Aliens sort-of movie. It would be bad-ass.

Maybe it could work out as well as those.... well except for firefly, talk about a short lived series. But it could be possible!
Well you have a unique crew, an awesome ship and a lot of missions that could be turned into episodes. It would be a shame not to allow the watchers to get to know them deeply over a few seasons.
Maybe it should be about the various characters pasts, rather than the actual current story. I would love to know more about Wrex's, Garrus's, and Tali's pasts. As well as some of the major past conflicts such as the Rachi wars, Krogan Rebellions, and First Contact War. That would be amazing! And most importantly, not conflict with how individual players played out the Mass Effect story.

uncharted is already practically a movie really.

Warhammer 40000 and mass effect, though one is already being made into a movie.
I don't think I could watch a Warhammer 40k movie. If they did it wrong, I wouldn't want to watch it at all. If they did it right, I may want to kill myself from depression.
Explain the killing yourself bit i mean it'd be cool for sure its like the intro to dawn of war just 2 hours long.

Also i left 4 dead and gears of war would make good films on the gore factor alone.

though live action would make GOW cheesy.
The actual Warhammer story line is really, really depressing. I enjoy a downer ending, but if the whole thing was just every scene ends with "and everyone dies", I wouldn't want to watch it.
Really i think the ending would end up as "And everyone died....except the space marines who made everything else die"

Also considering its going to be a 15 and probably aimed at getting more people into it i doubt it'd be that bad.

it all depends who's writing the story really.
But that's the thing, in a game you can have "And the space marines killed the entire solar system" and it works because you play as them. But a movie wouldn't work unless it works out like the original storyline for the board game which may or may not have the space marines live but they will condemn every other species they see and will probably kill all humans in the area/planet/solar system/sector because they didn't conform to the church's interpretation of what the emperor wants of them. They'll also be tortured.
but what are you going to do about it really? the films called ultramarines and "kill all aliens" is an easy thing to sell.
If it was just kill all aliens, it wouldn't be as depressing, but it wouldn't be Warhammer 40k unless the marines directly or indirectly kill a human settlement and this is normal. That's par for the course.

I was thinking the old Gabriel Knight franchise could make a damn good horror-suspense film in the right hands...
