I want a new System Shock. Let Irrational do it and you will make my dream come true.
But damn EA owns the rights to it, so that's probably never going to happen -headdesk-

Or hell, just re-release it on Steam and let us with computers more powerful than our consoles play it, seeing as you need something from 1999 or lower to play it if you buy the reguler edition.

System Shock 2 remake.

Updated visuals and AI, and that's it. Everything else remains unchanged. Result would be a perfect game.

I miss SHODAN :(

A sequel to Half Life 2. I'd call it Half Life 3.

/thread.

But in all seriousness, I'd redo the second Deus Ex game to make it as good as the other two. You can't have a series with one shitty installment and two good ones. It just seems really weird to me.
What are you talking about? There's only 2 Deus Ex titles and both are awesome.

OT: Skies of Arcadia Legends. It's my favourite turn based RPG ever and I really love the story. I would also like to see Psychonauts get a sequel, but above all Skies of Arcadia.

Probably the Breath of Fire series. It's been too long.
This.

On a similar tack, the Legaia games were an interesting attempt to blend a fighting game with RPG that didn't quite work out (most people will probably know it best from Unskippable's Let's Play of Legaia 2, but the first one was much better though far from perfect). I say try a new one with less RPG and more fighting game, complete with special moves, counters and combinations in place of spells.

I really would like to say a sequel for Battlefront 2.

But I can, I would have to say, a proper sequel for Jak 3 (Past the events of JakX and Jak and Daxter: The lost frontier never happened), basically a better and newer Jak 3, I loved the jak and Daxter series with all my heart. <3

I had a post about this in an earlier thread. Here's the gist of it.

1. Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks II

The original Shaolin Monks is one of the best games of its multi-genre franchise and one of my favorite games of all time. A fast, loose beat-em-up action game that was and is criminally underrated by the standards of any generation, it stood side-by-side with the likes of God of War but received none of the credit it deserved for its entertaining and fluid battle system, hilarious camp, and abundance of genuinely hard-to-find secrets. A sequel would bring to light a game that really needs it, as well as provide an opportunity for new characters(Kenshi, anyone?), new settings, and new ways to finish him. Or her. Or them.

2. WET II

Say what you want about WET, but there still isn't much out there that's anything like it. It was a love letter to grindhouse B-movies with snippy dialogue, a good combat concept(if not the best execution of said concept), and a swarthy, twisted, and downright mean protagonist who was one of the standout female game characters of the decade. Many questions in the first game remained unanswered and many characters undeveloped. A sequel would allow for not only a much needed fine-tuning of the controls and combat, but also further character building, perhaps expanding on the relationships Rubi has with the likes of Zhi, Milo, and maybe even Kafka Dvorak.

She was totally feeling Rubi up. It was awesome. More, please!

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. New story, but keeping the open ended world, the rule system and using the Rage graphics engine.

Tie Fighter. Similar to the old one, but with more internal politics within the ranks of the empire and updated graphics. Loved that game.

We need more games in the Baldurs Gate (1 & 2) style of play. Deep story driven RPG/Strategy that is not dumbed down for the console tards. Yes, I'm looking at you, Dragon Age 2.

Knights of the Old Republic in a non vegetable MMO recepy. More of Kotor 1 style games!

I would like to see Mirrors Edge get a sequel.

I enjoyed Turrican 2 something fierce on the Amiga. That would be cool to see again.

Popolous 2! OMG how frickin epic was that game? Moar!

Master of Orion 2. Same level of complexity (ie, no need to add much more tech etc) but just a bit more modern and with a slightly better strategic combat section.

There are three Deus Ex.

Deus Ex, the original ground breaking game. Deus Ex 2, still pretty cool, but way dumbed down and generally perceived to be inferior to Deus Ex 1, even though graphics etc was way better. And lastly, Deus Ex Human Revolution, which is a prequel to the series and quite fun to play.

An official Alundra sequel on a handheld. I'd love to see the "entering dreams" angle examined a bit more. Maybe this time instead of having to enter dreams to combat a dark force, he has to enter dreams to get information or change people's moods towards him. Hell, the Dreamwalkers were a race, so they could put it in an entirely new setting with a new main character.

The World Ends With You is hitting sequel territory. They really don't have to do much to keep it a solid game besides come up with a new plot (maybe examine an area other than Shibuya) and add some new pins/combat mechanics.

Deus Ex: Invisible War was never made. It's all just false rumours.

Legacy of Kain.

I have a feeling it would be all "god of war-y", in terms of game play. Not a bad thing but that's how I see it going.
Gahh, ninja'd.

Probably Half-Life one, give it Source graphics and engine, oh wait...
Was that a stab at Black Mesa? Or are you making a stab at Half-Life: Source?

OT: Probably C&C Generals. It was one of my favorites in the C&C franchise, and I'd like to see something new with it. But only if EA doesn't royally screw it over like C&C4 >:U

Well, here are a whole bunch of people selling what is obviously an imaginary game.

Reboot marathon. (bungie)
I'd like to see such an epic story re-created in real 3d, but same graphics. I like the mood that durandals graphics give off.

A sequel to Grim Fandango would be pretty high on my list.

Also, to go back to some old-school games - a real sequel to Syndicate that keeps the same gameplay style (not like the barely-related FPS they're doing, as promising as it may be), and a sequel to UFO: Enemy Unknown, aka X-COM: UFO Defense. I know they gave the rights to some Czech Rep. developer and they had a run with it, but it just wasn't the same. A modern version of that game would be awesome.
This. A thousand times this.
And if we can't have a current-gen Syndicate or X-COM then how about Master of Orion IV?
