Well, I'm probably only going with Steam sale titles, with the exception of Hitman: Absolution if it turns out being a good game.
But let's go into my "I hope it goes on sale" list:
Spec-Ops: The line
Civilization V - Gods and Kings (expansion)
Terraria
Sniper Elite V2
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Mark of the Ninja
Dishonored (Only if it gets something like 50% off)
I would like Dishonored and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. I picked up Borderlands 2 and AC3, so don't need to worry about them. I would really actually like to get a Vita, but we're on a bit of a tight budget, although my mother-in-law just gave me $200 towards a Christmas gift so I may be able to get one myself
There's other games I would like, but I have so much trouble getting through the games I already have that I can't justifiably ask for more (haven't finished Demon's Souls, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection or even played Goldeneye 007 Reloaded which I received last Christmas).
I stopped making christmas lists some years ago. I will accept any gift my family gives me, even if it is nothing more than their company through the holidays. And seeing as how I work through christmas break I can buy my own games for what money I don't put to the side for important shit, like school books and junk food.
From the steam sale I'm really hoping for some deep discounts on Skyrim Sleeping Dogs Arma 2 and Carrier Command. Other games I'd like are Far Cry 3 and Hitman: Absolution.
None of them. I own all the games I wanted this year, and pirated the ones I wasn't sure about (then deleted them, because they were crap, I'm looking at you, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Dishonored, MOH-WF).
There's a lot of game I want this year, Dishonored, XCOM, Assassin's Creed and Halo, I...oh wait I already have them...huh...yeah there's really nothing left...kinda depressing.
Dark Souls for PC perhaps.
Will probably buy it before christmas though.
I don't buy a lot of games, I only buy things that I consider worth my money and I play a few free to play games. The rest of the time I spend reading or listening to music, mostly both.
I'll probably get Dishonoured at some point. I've been interested by what I've seen so far but I can't really justify buying it at full price at the moment. And not much else really. Maybe Pokémon Black/White2. Maybe.
While I doubt I'll finish them all by the end of 2012, these are the games I'd at least like to have done by the time Bioshock: Infinite comes out in February:
Diablo III (late to the party, had to upgrade my computer so I could play) Torchlight II Hitman: Absolution Dishonored Mark of the Ninja Spec Ops: The Line (I think this one will be what gets me through the Thanksgiving weekend)
Huh, guess that is it. Only games left this year that I'm getting are it and Black Ops 2. I'm getting Black Ops 2 at my birthday. Well I'm also downloading the last episode of The Walking Dead. Unless that episode does something horrible it will almost certainly be the best game released in 2012 that I've played this year. There are a good few games in 2013 I'm looking forward to.
Torchlight II
Skyrim: Dragonborn (If it's released by then)
Dishonored
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Lego Lord of the Rings
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Assassin's Creed III
Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013
Game of Thrones: The Roleplaying Game
Hopefully, I will be able to pick up a few of these on the Steam Winter Sale.
