Its funny, but lately I'm leaning towards older games rather than newer games. My judgement isn't clouded by hype, they're cheaper and they usually run a little easier if they're a PC excursion. Plus updates and DLC I guess.
That said, the games I'm currently looking into purchasing next year are Mass Effect 1, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY (I have the PS3 version so I'm not slow), the Thief trilogy, Psychonauts, inFamous... but also FFXIII and the God of War trilogy.

God of War collection. (though for some reason I can't find it in any store, not even at my beloved internet shop I usually import games from.

Maybe Dead Rising 2, but it seems like it's less of a survival game and more of a "go in there and kill every zombie as stylishly as possible." kind of game.

Those are the ones I'm most interested in. I might get Dark Void, Crackdown 2, Bioshock 2 and Lost Planet 2, But I'll wait for reviews (Lost Planet 2 looks like a huge Improvement on its predecessor, Bioshock 2 dosen't look great). Everything else I get will probably be catching up on this year's releases and some last gen stuff.
I have high hopes for Heavy Rain (even though it'll never quite shake the uncanny valley-ness) but I can't afford a PS3.
