What games are you looking forward to?

On topic: what future games are you looking forward to? I'm looking forward to Darkest of Days by Phantom EFX and 8Monkey labs.

Anyways i haven't seen this in a long time, so I guess new games has been announced since last time.

Near future: Metroid prime trilogy, cause i never knew prime was awesome till i got corruption for my wii.
Brütal legend, thoug i'll wait to see if it lives up to it's hype b4 getting it.
New DotA hereos are always welcome as well

Not so near future: New zelda, Metroid: Other M, God of War 3, Ninja Gaiden sigma 2 and some other stuff as well.

Backlash be damned I want to see what Valve acn do in a short-ish space of time. If the game turns out to be the size of L4D again I won't be buying (it's a good game, but not a £40 game). Then again L4D showed the potential for something amazing, so hopefully number 2 will deliver on that.

yeah, i even got a game-cube, but it's released september 4. and it packs all 3 prime games, for the price of one new game, and they've been remastered with motion controll (which worked suprisingly good in corruption IMO + wii mote > analog stick for FPS IMO) and possibly updated graphics (not sure)
So, i tink it's easier to just get em this september than it is to go find the old gamecube games for sale somewhere.

Ahh, but the first 2 are quite different to Corruption, the control scheme in them is also very different to a standard fps, and it was perfect. It took a while to get used to but it was the perfect control scheme for those games.

You'll have to do a review when they come out, tell the world if the Corruption controls transfer well or not.

Next release I plan to buy will be Mount&Blade Warband. Expansion to my choice for 2008 Game of the Year.

For games out this year that I don't yet own, East Empire Company and Dawn of Discovery are on my radar screen, more out of a burning urge to get something new in the trade/builder genre than "omg gotta have it!" enthusiasm for the games themselves. There hasn't been a truly awesome game in that genre since Port Royale 2, and that was in 2004.
