We would need more information, saying "duel core 2.0ghz" could mean one of a few processors. Go to start -> control panel -> Systems and tell us what it says.Nelle said:Not really that old, It's been bought back in 2010, I used to play countless of hours of LOTR: Conquest with a good framerate and Sims 3 (don't judge me man, I love the Sims franchise lol)cloroxbb said:Your laptop is old as shyte. And you seem (based on the info you have given) to be using integrated graphics. I doubt many people are going to be able to precisely tell you what you can play well on your system. Its trial and error for you.
I suggest at least upgrading your RAM. More than likely you are on a 32bit Windows 7, so its only going to be able to see 4GB of RAM. So you should buy 4GB.
Its the integrated graphics that will hurt you the most in this situation probably.
I tried Fallout 3 with this trusty baby once, I forgot how It went though, I must try it again!
I think my Oblivion problem can be remedied IF I DON'T OVERDO MODDING LOL.
Other than that... Well, I agree with the RAM problem, I can't buy one now that shyte is overly expensive in my country XD
It says "Pentium(R) Dual Core CPU T4200 @ 2.0ghz (2CPUS) ~ 2.0ghzRicoADF said:We would need more information, saying "duel core 2.0ghz" could mean one of a few processors. Turn off HDR lighting. That's a real performance hog. Try bloom instead.Nelle said:Oblivion... well I don't know why It wont run fabulously on my laptop (I am modding the game maybe that's why).
Dunno. The original was supposedly running on netbooks. I tried that, but it wasn't that good. Running on a semi-decent laptop was mostly very smooth, but once I got to the final boss on very hard difficulty, there were about a million critters running after me and my framerate dropped quite a bit. I still managed to win though.Nelle said:Torchlight 2 can run on this system? really?
No.Archangel768 said:It looks like Bioshock 1 should work on your computer.
Well there goes my dream of playing a Bioshock game, but since I like to live dangerously sometimes, I will still charge on and try it on my laptop. hahaArnoxthe1 said:No.Archangel768 said:It looks like Bioshock 1 should work on your computer.
No. No. No. That game is just... Yeah, too recent. Not on his computer. I, too, once made the mistake of underestimating that games hardware requirements. It didn't go over well for me.
OP: Looks like everyone already put in some very decent suggestions. You can also try an N64 emulator with a wired Xbox 360 controller if you got one. That can make for some fun times. If you need any help with setting it up or getting what you need, just shoot me a PM. I'll be glad to help.

Is it bad for me to say I don't quite get the feel for the N64? I just don't know why. I much prefer the OG Playstation than any first-gen 3D consoles
What were your specs when trying to run it? Probably be a good reference.Arnoxthe1 said:No.Archangel768 said:It looks like Bioshock 1 should work on your computer.

Ram can be extremely cheap these days. Just saving up for a little bit for a 25$ stick on newegg would be plenty enough to help you out. Given your age and such, it might be tougher than I, cause I had a job then, but ram is cheap. Could maybe even pry the ram out of some dead laptops or computers that are about to be trashed. Look into it!Nelle said:Pretty much my problem is the RAM. Gosh, I don't have money for it. I don't think I can earn that much being a student that's country is being expensive on computer stuff. I'm not looking into making my laptop a over-the-top rig with 12 gazillion cpus and Gabillzillion of RAM. I just like it the way it is 1gb ram more. And I think even without that plus ram there are games, fun, great pc games that will run with this laptop smoothly even if it demands to be on low settings haha
It's an eMachines something, I forgot the full model name of it, the stickers are now washed up so yeah ahahaArchangel768 said:Nelle said:Well there goes my dream of playing a Bioshock game, but since I like to live dangerously sometimes, I will still charge on and try it on my laptop. hahaArnoxthe1 said:No.Archangel768 said:It looks like Bioshock 1 should work on your computer.

I don't know what that guys computer was but Bioshock 1 minimum system requirements are
Windows xp or vista
Pentium 4 2.4ghz
1gb ram
128mb 6600
One problem you might have is the intel graphics might not be compatible. It comes down to like 5$ on the steam sales so you may as well try it.
I once ran Fear 1 on my Pentium 3 733mhz computer, that game said it needed a 1.8ghz Pentium 4. I ran it at 'low' settings overall and it ran fine. There was even 'minimum' setting below that which I didn't need. So there's a chance!
What's the model of your laptop? Any chance I can convince you to buy a new one? lol
It will only end in tears.Nelle said:Well there goes my dream of playing a Bioshock game, but since I like to live dangerously sometimes, I will still charge on and try it on my laptop. haha
