What games deserve their own movies?

More Mad Max would be good as long as they keep the villains with assless chaps and 80's hairdo's (and so on...). Anything less would bring great shame to the series.

personally i would say none of them, they were perfect the way they were as games and hollywood would mess it up like they always do

Mass effect as it is already done like a film

overlord would probably make a funny cartoony kind of film

and assasins creed would probably kick ass as a film

I think that if someone made a movie based soley around Half Life 2 it would be amazing. Imagine how cool the Vortigaunts would look, my only thing that would be a drawback is that they would certainly ruin the character of Alyx Vance by making the actress who plays her extravagnatly hot instead of just everyday pretty.
But still a Half Life movie would be pretty sweet if the story is given forth in an organic way and if Gordon has a Vortigaunt named Schlek as a sidekick.

(P.S: HAH I bet you all thought I was going to say Halo, I am not that predicatable!)

What about Homeworld? That had an extremely compelling story, and maybe make the main character a fighter pilot or frigate captain instead of Karan S'Jet. Handled properly, that could be a great movie, or maybe even a trilogy. Just don't put the sequels into the movies. Okay, maybe Cataclysm, but not Homeworld 2.

Half-Life 2 would also be good, just to jump on that bandwagon. And for Alyx Vance, why not just use the woman who does her voice? She's also an actual actress who has appeared in NCIS and other shows too. Who better to play Alyx than Alyx herself? I'd also go for the Descent or Freespace series as well.

Hmm, can anyone tell that I like space games yet?

Mafia. Just cut out the loading screens and all it is is a super interactive movie.
