That sounds agonizingly long and boring.xsosxfelix said:epic lol the new final fantasy game im not sure about yetLordNue said:I was left speechless and just turned off the game. Know what makes it even better? Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 has pretty much the same plot at the very end, only without the words "time compression". The plot is so bad it was reused in end of the worst sonic game basically.xsosxfelix said:yeah actually when i got to the point where i was like wut? i went to wiki and read the whole story and gave the game to my little sister lolLordNue said:Wow you didn't even get to the weird part with time compression. You're lucky, so very lucky, that you didn't get to that roadblock of stupid.xsosxfelix said:Final fantasy eight.

I wouldnt say that...seeing as if you would look up the highest selling games, they would all be Nintendo games...DeathSnipa1992 said:troll? i swear u just lookes up the top 5 highest selling games and decided to hate..Ultratwinkie said:halo, gears of war, fallout 3, elder scrolls, and cod.
Just a quick question. What part, exactly, made you think that Halo: Reach is trying to be CoD? If it was the loadout system, I'd like to at least point out that you can't customize said loadouts (and therefore break them with ridiculous invisible shotty sniper combos).D.L.390 said:Halo: Reach is an example. In trying to be like CoD to sell more copies, although the game was already cut out for failure, thanks to it trying to be like that spunk bubble I'm not even going to rent it. I played the beta, it was enough - this CoD cancer infects a lot of other games with its shittiness and the world would be better off without it.
Jedi academy is what Force Unleashed could have been, but it is sad it never was...Insanum said:Star Wars TFU.
It could've been great, It could've been amazing...Instead it was frustratingly crap.
i didnt literally mean they would b top 5. it just seemed like he just picked the most popular gamesDurxom said:I wouldnt say that...seeing as if you would look up the highest selling games, they would all be Nintendo games...DeathSnipa1992 said:troll? i swear u just lookes up the top 5 highest selling games and decided to hate..Ultratwinkie said:halo, gears of war, fallout 3, elder scrolls, and cod.
Wii Play, Nintendogs, Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, and New Super Mario Bros are the top 5 (excluding the sold with console games, like Super Mario Bros and Tetris)...all of them with around 20 million sold..the only one coming any where close is MW2 coming up with about 14 million, and then Halo 3 at 8 million...statistics aside..
I do kind of get annoyed at CoD a bit, it's hard trying to explain stuff like Dynasty Warriors, JRPGs, and Devil May Cry to people when all they have ever played and think is good is MW2..
Sorry, I was pretty vague on that bit.Miles Tormani said:Just a quick question. What part, exactly, made you think that Halo: Reach is trying to be CoD? Of course, if it's just that you don't like loadouts at all, I can respect that. It may be something different for you entirely, but that's the only CoD similarity I can honestly think of.
I believe they're tuning up the guns in some way (DMR will have more ammo, for instance), and the shields are going to be tweaked as well. The loadouts, however, are there to stay. I personally felt they worked better than being forced to spawn with a specific weapon. It certainly ended the AR/BR gametype argument for all but the Super-MLG-Pro-Legit-Hardcore crowd, by allowing you to choose which one you wanted. Without allowing you to, say, spawn with a rocket launcher in a Grifball game.D.L.390 said:Sorry, I was pretty vague on that bit.
Halo's basic principles are that it's close and long range combat focused, with a few grenades and LOTS of melee. That's the formula that worked for it.
If they simply started a new series for Reach, I'd have been kinder to it.
But it's how slowly your shields recharge, how all the guns are pathetic, how you have unnecessary loadouts that simply break the game and it's way more frustrating than it ever was.
But yeah, that's how I reckon Reach is copying the CoD series, like every game and its dog.
Of couse, all this is IMO, but yeah.
Aw man...I couldn't have phrased it any better myself. Good job.SomethingAmazing said:Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
And I am not just saying ''hurr durr it is popular and I hate it. So I am cool!''
This game is a detriment to the industry. For the sole purpose of shafting gamers in favor of casual style gaming. And even trying to kill PC gaming or turn it into console gaming. It also stands as a symbol of the death of intelligent, rewarding games for mindless instant gratification that has no rewards for long term fans, only lies.

But, hey. This is just me talking as a fanboy. I really can't argue any of the things you dislike about it. If you hate it, you hate it. I can respect that.
(Least you didn't claim that armor abilities make it more like CoD, since, well... I don't remember CoD having jetpacks.)
I don't think any of the original Call of Duty games (up to 3) influenced the industry that much to ruin your FPS gaming experience forever. They added to the planet-sized pile of WWII games, sure, but Call of Duty 4 was the one that really shaped the FPS industry for better or for worse. All I know is that now a lot of it is gun porn mixed with explosions.D.L.390 said:In my opinion, they're literally the worst games I've ever played.
They're hailed as being great games but everything they do, other games can do better (besides being absolute rubbish).
There isn't enough space to say how much I hate those games. Every single bastard one has been a colossal disappointment, failing to meet any criteria I would set for a decent game.
Graphics? Don't make me laugh. Some of the worst I've ever seen for any game in the same year.
Story? What story?
Gameplay? Ridiculously artifically lengthened with how little damage you can take. All the games are about 15min long if you take out all the time you have to wait behind a wall. Also, in a couple places, there are infinitely respawning enemies.
Multiplayer is rubbish due to the fact that people who've been playing for a long time have a HUGE advantage over people who've just started. Wrong way round.
So there you have it, there is why they're rubbish - but I wish they were never made because of a different reason.
They influenced a lot of games I was looking forward to or was currently playing with their shittiness. Some were cut out for failure from the get-go, but without CoD in existence they would have been better.
